Don't mind the call - obviously KG was trying to slow them a bit, and the Knicks had probably complained about it.  Better to call that T fairly early than in the 4th.

I do wish the rule was enforced consistently, without a team drawing attention to it though.

KG does this all the time. Ive seen him warned before.

Against the Knicks if he gets away with it becomes very effective given their style of play.

I think there needs to be a clear rule regarding this.

Is there something in the rule book that says you cant throw the ball to a ref after a made basket?

Maybe the rule should be you cant even intentionally touch the ball after a made basket.

I dont really know the answer, but what KG did is a great move against a team that tries to run on made baskets. If the NBA wants to take it out of the game, be clear about it.

You know if they are going to call this they better make sure to call it against the other team when they do it as well. This is done by teams in every game! This is my problem with it. If it is going to be a rule it better be for everyone not just one player/team. Knicks had no right to complain when they did the same thing. All I want is things called fairly on both sides.

From what I can gather, the issue is when it is intentially done to slow down the game.  There is no doubt in my mind that KG was trying to purposely slow down the Knicks who love to run off made baskets.

More importantly though, he was warned on the previous basket.  To be warned, and then almost immediately do the exact same thing you were warned about is just asking for a technical.

Why do others do it then? I'm sorry but this is BS. If the other team does the same thing it should be called. How can you distinguish between one teams intent and another. They did the same thing. It should be called on both sides. The same result happens to the C's when the other team does it as well.

I don't mind the rule if called both ways is all I am saying.

If the Knicks are going to ask for that call, though, they should also get the same treatment when they do it. If officials are anything they should be consistent (though, of course, they rarely are).
