LA, NJ, HOU. Three way deal!!!

I love this deal for all teams involved.

LA save a ton of cash, get a nice trade exception, and add some much needed depth up front...and all it cost them was a draft pick they likely wouldn't have wanted anyways.  This years draft could be terrible if there is a threat of a lockout, and that pick would be in the bottom 5 of the first round, which are generally even less valuable than the ones at the top of the first round (I hope you are reading this Danny!).

NJ gets a couple draft picks, and another expiring contract to include in a major deal for someone like Carmelo.  They are collecting a ton of assets right now, and are in a great position to make a big splash.

And Houston gets by far the best player in the trade.  Williams may be a bit of a nucklehead, but he is a heck of a talent, and could thrive in Adelman's system, and with the mentorship of someone like Battier to keep him in line. 

tp...i agree with you about all but if Williams doesn't change some bad habits he could end up like V.Wafer did in Houston.Im just saying the coach there will not tolerate bad behavior.

I guess LA is benefited more. NJ looks for a 'Melo trade, but it's a very little possibility to succeed this trade and I really hope he goes to NY.

This looks like a great deal for all teams, which is actually a little weird.  LA gives up a pick but saves almost $9 million, when picks are generally sold for $3 mil.  Houston gets the best player.  NJ gets two first rounders and an expiring (that can still be flipped by the deadline).

I doubt NJ has much of a shot at Melo, but if they can flip the two first rounders they got, plus the expirings of guys that don't play for Iggy, then I'd say a T.Williams for Iggy deal is actually quite awesome for NJ.  That's their best bet, IMO.  Harris/Iggy/Favors(eventually)/Lopez, plus the best defender/shooter between Morrow and Outlaw (I'd say Outlaw), and they look pretty good.
