Quisy is clearly the most important.  Its important for him to do well because he can spell two starters, RA and PP.   Defensive assignments are stiffer for him than some of the others mentioned here.  He will draw Kobe and LeBron or Wade.   West could not guard LeBron and lacks height to bother Kobe I suspect but definitely has the heart to try.   Quisy has the length.  However, others may have more impact than he but he is more important.

I voted for Nate and still think that he is the 2nd most important.  Delonte and Nate might end up combining for this role in the future, as both will be called on to be the back up PG/SG, provide a spark and play defense.

But I also think that Erden has been very important.  Imagine a game like last night's had Erden not emerged as a NBA-quality player.  You'd have to start Davis and have Luke as your backup.  Semih has been huge for the team so far this season.

Baby is best.
Nate is 2nd best.
I'd put Quisy as 3rd.

2nd most important player on the bench?

At this point it's Nate due to injuries but, the answer will change as the season progresses hopefully.  Not because Nate isn't important but, more so because I expect JO and DWest to play big roles off the bench when they are healthy.
Still expecting good stuff from JO, huh?  Not me, but whatever good play he gives us will be a nice bonus.

More so hoping but, yes it's only December lots of time left.

I don't think there is one individual player who is most important.  Rather, we're going to need all of the main bench guys to step up at opportune times.

I would expect Shaq and Delonte to have the biggest bench impact, but Nate, J.O., and Marquis are all going to play big roles by the time the season is over, as well.

Agreed.  We need all of these guys to play well, and generally speaking they have all played well when they've been healthy.  Baby's been great, Nate's mostly been great, Quis has been very solid pretty much all year.  Delonte was playing good ball in the short period he was active.  When Perk comes back, no doubt he'll be good off the bench if that's what they ask him to do, or that Shaq will be even better off the bench against other teams' second units.

Even Semih, I mean...  he's probably the weak link in the current rotation players, but for a guy that wasn't expected to get ANY meaningful playing time this year he's been pretty decent.

Have to say, the only bench players I've been disappointed in have been JO (just because of injuries, although he's been mostly pretty rusty, understandably, in the few minutes he has played).  JO and Wafer (remembering there was a time we though he might be one of the key reserves).

Why are Luke & Bradley even options?  ::)

Off topic, but I really hope that once we get West and Perk bac,k we start giving some of our big 3 a day off here and there. For example, on a back to back we can give KG a day off and this will also allow Perk to get a few more minutes for conditioning. We should implement a SA like strategy in that regard.

When it's all said and done, the most important bench players IMO will be:

#1  Shaq (assuming Perkins ends up starting)
#2  Nate (b/c he's the primary backup to Rondo)
#3  Davis (b/c he'll be the 2nd big off the bench)
#4  Marquis

If Rondo's healthy he plays 40+ minutes through the playoffs.  If Rondo's not healthy the bench probably doesn't matter.

It should be Marquis, he is a legit scorer with a killer post game, and decent defense. However, so far it has definitely been Nate, he has stepped up on more than one occasion.

It's contradictory but I refuse to think of Shaq or of Perk as a bench guy....I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

I'm going with Quise for now,  but the guys that back up the most important place are Nate and Delonte.  Losing Rondo would hurt most and those guys would have to help the most.  Losing Ray or PP wouldn't hurt as bad

For the record, I think Marquis is most important but I don't think he is even close to playing as well as some of the others mentioned.  We just need him to come through big time.   He has done better this year than last so far ( crosses fingers).
