I think its pretty dumb that KG told the media what was said. If it was so 'man to man', it should've stayed that way. Now it kind of comes off (to me at least) like KG used Karl in some kind of PR contrition stunt.
The whole thing is stupid. Its stupid we ever found out from Charlie what KG said, its stupid people got all upset about it, its stupid that KG felt it would be a good move to apologize/clarify his comments to an actual cancer patient, and its stupid that he told the media what he did. The whole entire ordeal is just stupid.
Um anyone who saw the game saw they were talking. I am 100% sure the media brought this up to KG. That is what they do. As was said this has been made into a huge public issue why can't KG say something to the media? Everyone else seemed to
Well if you're 100% sure, you'd be right. You could even read 2 posts above where I said they brought it up.
My point is that KG saying what they talked about just cheapens it. If he really felt bad that George took offense to what he 'allegedly' said, the media has nothing to do with it. The only reason to tell people what he said would be to help Garnett's image. I thought it was out of character from a guy who usually keeps things like this closer to the vest.
Honestly, I think the whole thing was "cheap" from the get-go. Much ado about nothing. It was one player trying to get revenge by making the player that just schooled him look bad. Everything that came from it was just the typical over-reacting to a non-issue so you don't look insensitive.
This was an issue that was created in the media, so therefore, it needs to die in the media, and that is what KG was doing last night.
Now, if we were talking about a real issue, then yes, going up and addressing it man to man, and then keeping it private was the way to do it. But since this was all just a ridiculous thing created by the media in the first place, its not going to make it any cheaper than it already is to address it the way KG did.
