Anyone know where I can see video of the Daniels all-oop from the Nets game? I'd greatly appreciate it.

I think Quisy may be a lot more athletic than he's given credit for.  Between the hops that he showed here and his ability to defend point guards like Devin Harris, he's shown a level of athleticism that I didn't think he had.

I’ve seen Marquis Daniels hit a 3/4 court shot, convert a pretty impressive alley-oop, and get some nasty And-1 layups in transition… but his expression would lead me to believe that he’s just chillin out there.

Pretty cool if you ask me.

KG on the other hand, see’s harangody get a layup and starts moshing.

Love this team.  ;D

He's definately the "don't judge a book by the cover" type of guy.  I've been amazed by some of the stuff he can do.

If you judged the book as 'wildly inconsistent and injury prone but substantially talented', I'd say you nailed it though.

Why is it that of all the injury prone players Marquis is always slammed for being injury prone. West is injury prone but he gets a free pass. Don't get it. Maybe Tony was playing better D last year. Maybe Marquis really was hurt. All I know is that I would much rather have him out there than TA any day.

I love how Tony consistently outplayed Marquis and stole his spot in the rotation (and if i remember the offseason timeline correctly he was offered a contract before Marquis who was our second choice) yet because of all the Tony hate he still gets no respect.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

Terrible title
Grab a few boards, keep the TO's under 14, close out on shooters and we'll win.

I agree.
But Marquis does have a much better all-around game, and I guess he really was seriously hurt last year. No way can a player be good for years, then all of a sudden suck. And it's really impressive how well he can finish and squirm his way through defenders.
Anyway, for whatever reason people here are never going to give TA any respect.

Daniels was our best bench player last year playing with injured thumb.  When he had the surgery he wasn't the same after and then tony stepped in and played really well.  tony the turnover is gone, i think for every good thing he did for us he nullified it by bad play

And I think it was last week someone was trying to put out their theory that daniels wasn't any good because he didn't dunk.  So maybe now he'll be considered a better player.
(because dunking is important, see gerald green)

  • You say when......
sometimes i think the players read these things.....and why wouldn't they look....at least to see how they are seen....so, md can dunk, bbd can rebound...if they keep playing like this, I won't have to get after them...!
