Sure, like some have said, his bad games include 12 points in 10 minutes vs SA...which then doc sat him all game thereafter, odd, well, doc did get rid of powe, then sheldon, then lasme...all rebounders...it is a terrible sight to see the celts put up a shot, then everyone turn to go play D..no rebounds, no championship. Yes, i am glad, KG is healthy, and shaq is doing great, also, again i have seen "when" bbd goes after rebounds, he can get a good amount of them..why he doesn't do it more often....?
Sheldon did NOT get hardly ANY playing time here, don't gloss it over, doc played that fool scal instead....for no basketball reason. and at 6'9"...don't say you can't get it done at that height, uh, Dennis Rodman...if you didn't appreciate him, you prob didn't play bball ever, rebounding is neccessary, Leon Powe was the X factor in why we won that championship, we were beaten down by the dirt the lakers got away with in #6, but with stronger rebounding, we could have put it away b4 that.
You point out something important. His coach felt his numbers were an illusion. He got some numbers, but Doc didn't felt he was actually helping the team.
Denver is all about numbers. Look at Melo. Dude gets play of the week for scoring once on 3 possessions at the end of a game.
You also completely miss the boat on "it is a terrible sight to see the celts put up a shot, then everyone turn to go play D..no rebounds, no championship." Uh, hello? We have a championship doing that. We were one quarter away from a championship doing that. In other words, you are wrong. Our getting back on defense works.
You are speculating against a proven record of success.
Everyone is looking for threads that i posted that aren't there. I didn't say sheldon should replace anyone on The Celtics, and I have been backing Erden all the way. As for your "uh hello" We HAD LEON POWE that year we won the championship...so "uh hello"..HE was the rebounder that i am taking about. And without our rebounder, we didn't win, so YOU must be wrong, but i don't expect you to realize this.
I'll go with you that you meant it that way, but I read it exactly like guava did. I thought you were implying that Shelden was 'our rebounder' last year.
As far as the 'get back on defense' thing, agree to disagree. We're the number 1 rated defense because our bigs get back, if they didn't there would be a lot more layins and dunks in the "kinda transition" that follows a rebound. I think Ray, Rondo, and Paul are awesome, but if someone outlets to a good strong or fast guard/wing quickly enough, there isn't much our guys can do. Paul/Ray/Rondo's fouls would go up, and there would be more easy buckets. Now, dunking on Shaq/KG/Perkins/JO/even Erden is a little more intimidating.
Now, you could argue any points we'd lose on defense we'd get back in offensive second chance points, but that's a hypothetical, our number 1 defense is real, right now.
Also, this part:
plenty of over reacting on this post, and of course someone went and got his boys to reply for him..,..hahhahaha, almost hurt my feelings..!
That's unnecessary.
