I was especially impressed with the way the whole team jumped in and attacked like Doc wanted them to in the early second half. Going to the rim and pushing the ball with our passers and shooters is really difficult to defend.
The ball movement and unselfishness was so productive that you have to wonder why any team would not engage in it more. I know it is a matter of egos usually, but dont people want to win?
I know defense is the key and we shouldnt lose sight of that fact, but our offense becomes a juggernaut when these guys push the ball and attack. Listening to Doc seems so simple, I am glad we are one of the few teams that have stars listening to the coach and trusting his system.
We are lucky I guess, I gotta put Doc up there with Jackson, Sloan, Popovich and maybe Avery Johnson as guys the players absolutely should pay attention to if they want to win. Thibs, Frank and a couple more are close but not quite there yet. No wonder the Doc to Miami rumor started.
We just showed the league how it is done against a pretty good team.
