I don't see that as being even close to equal value, honestly.  There are probably 15 to 20 teams (at least) that could offer better deals.

Heck the C's could do better after Dec 15....

We'd blow up our chances this year, but getting LeBron for 5 years is a huge prize. There is a reason multiple teams tanked for multiple years to try and get him.

If Miami trades Lebron, I assume it would be for another star.  Lebron for Carmelo and other assets, Lebron for CP3, etc.

We can trade free agents signed this summer.

Dec 15th is when any and all Melo trade talk gets real. A lot more options open up for a multi-team blockbuster.

The Magic make out like bandits in this trade, and Miami is worse for it.

There is no bundle of guys you can throw at Miami to equal LeBron. You've got to build the trade around multiple all-stars or an All-NBA player with pieces to even come close to his value.

I'm talking LeBron for Carmelo+Nene+Kenyon Martin (I know the salaries don't work, and the packages don't mesh w what the Heat need). That's the level of talent that needs to be considered. If LeBron was demanding a trade, or threatening to leave via free agency after the season, than it is different, but if you have him under contract for the next 5 seasons, its going to cost big.

You would need to get Dwight Howard plus another all-star talent to get value for LeBron.

Something like Rose and Noah?

And I doubt Chicago says yes. It would gut their team.

I think that's one of the cases where that might not be true.

Dwight Howard, Chris Paul, Kevin Durant..those guys could be a 1 to 1 trade for LeBron, or 1 to 1 with picks..you don't need more talent to make that work IMO.

Why are all these LeBron/Wade trade scenarios popping up?  Neither of them are going anywhere.

Lets also remember that the NBA is still a league run by players and agents, and there is none more powerful than Lebron James.  So, if he were ever to be traded, he is going to need to sign off on where he is going, because if he doesn't, his agent is going to make it very hard on the team that traded  him, and Lebron is going to not make it easy on the team that traded for him.
