35/14/7 tonight vs the Jazz.

Hes the best player on a bad team, but you cant deny his talent.

This guy is rapidly becoming one of the best big men in the league, he needs to be an all-star this year. Can you imagine the highlight dunks this kid would do?

He's quite the talent.  Impressive numbers he is putting up for his rookie season, along with John Wall.  They're both unique talents that you don't see in the league very often.  Griffin is putting up the numbers to be on the All Star team, but the West has quite a few very skilled and established forwards already that he'll have trouble going through.

Once Blake starts doing more on the defensive end on a consistent basis (blocks and steals) he'll have the whole package.

Too bad it's not translating to wins.  That's the only thing against him in the Rookie of the Year race.  Hard to blame him, though, when his team hasn't had a true consistent starting point guard or starting center for most of the season.

Speaking of which, if I were the Clippers I'd look to trade Baron Davis and Chris Kaman for draft picks / cap relief / prospects.  Their team is bad right now and isn't going to get a whole lot better anytime soon.  Best to stockpile young assets and look to build around Griffin for the future.  Kaman and Davis don't fit into that future, and they still have enough worth that the Clips could get something for 'em (especially Kaman).

The Clips have a good young core with Gordon, Aminu, Griffin and Bledsoe.  They'll be a very solid team in 2 to 3 years...but for now, they suck.
Never forget the Champs of '08, or the gutsy warriors of '10.

I didn't watch this game, but will catch the local replay later. I don't think I realistically expected the Clippers to reach the playoffs, so I just watch for enjoyment.

The problem with the Clippers is simply talent. Bledsoe, Aminu and (DeAndre) Jordan are too young to be starting. They'll develop, but not yet. Also, unfortunately, not only does Baron Davis have the worst contract imaginable, the guy just simply has no heart. He takes more time off for injuries than he actually needs, and is overweight; Some of this (not a lot) is rubbing off on Kaman.

I also don't like Vinny Del Negro as a coach.

One amazing thing to remember about why the Clippers are so turrible is that the other night they started 5 players born after 1988. Eric Gordon and Deandre are both '88. Blake and Bledsoe are '89. And Aminu was born in '90. That stat is unbelievable.

Griffin is amazing. He is averaging 30ppg, 14rpg, 5apg, and 1bpg in his last 5 and he is only shooting like 54% from the line (while getting there a ton). If they can get a healthy Kaman back to take some of the pressure off of him, this team might surprise some people in the 2nd half. Kind of funny how Brand seemed to set this team back by choosing to sign in Philly. The way it worked out they ended up with a super dooper younger Brand. Baron Davis should be chased out of LA with burning torches at this point. Just roll with the young guys and build around that exciting core.

Ya Blake is just incredible. its too bad that his first year talents are being wasted in Clipperland. I bet for him that contract cant expire soon enough.

Clippers have a promising core developing over there with B.Griffin, E.Gordon and Aminu + some supporting players in Bledsoe and D.Jordan.

Add in another high lottery pick this summer + hopefully move Kaman and Davis to create some cap flexibility ... and in another two years or so, they could build real good team going forward.

would love to have seen lebron (ugh) sign with the clips for the max last summer.  imagine him in that lineup.  sorry lakers, your run would come to an end!

I'm convinced that BG needs to change his free throw form.  I think he needs to start at the top of the half circle and take a step and go with a "running" floater.  It can't be worse than his 54% now.

Unfortunately, I don't see any real success for the Clippers while Donald Sterling is still their owner.  We were saying the Clippers were an up and coming team with a bright future 8 years ago, too.

I just hope he's smart enough not to resign with the Clips.

The longer he wears that jersey the more likely his knees are to explode.

This might be unfair after Sterling tried to spend on the Davis-Brand combo, only to be left at the altar when Brand jumped ship.
