Spolstra needs to go somewhere else, its like what we argueed here back in 2008 regarding Doc Rivers.
Doc Rivers isnt the best coach in the league but he's most likely one of the few coaches who could coach the 08' Celtics successfully, the sitiuation Spolstra is in right now, he's way over his head regarding ego management.
Well, only one coach can be the best in the league, so fine. But Doc may be one of the best in the league.
Thats the thing, we cant really messure a coaches success outside wins or losses! there's just to much intangible stuff that fans dosnt see that makes it near impossible to propperly rate a coach.
What i can do though is look at how Doc Rivers molded his team in 2008, what was said in the timeouts, the locker rooms and the press from that period is alot different from what spolstra is saying right now.
When you have a coach that calls out his 2 absolute Star Players to "drop their ego" at half time against the Celtics, that just screams "DOH" to me, its quite clear that he dosnt get the needed respect of his players and its quite clear that he didnt prep them well enough during the offseason.
About 80% of this, isnt Spolstra's fault.. he's a bright basketball mind but he's in the wrong job at the moment, what he brings just dosnt fit with what the Heat needs.
