for better or worse, this is our team. when they focus and play with energy, they are the best team in the league. when they don't, they are mediocre.

the other thing we always have to keep in mind about this Celtic team is that they simply are not built to score easy baskets and they don't usually get them in bunches the way Bird's group did. i always remind myself that even during the title year, they were often painful to watch on offense, as absolutely beautiful as they can be on defense.

ah well, at least tonite i've got some brown liquor to make this a little easier to watch.
The Four Celtic Generals:
Russell - Cowens - Bird - Garnett

The Four Celtic Lieutenants:
Cousy - Havlicek - McHale - Pierce

I don't know why everyone is fretting right now over DWest. Last time I checked, we were 8-2 without him. There is virtually no way he won't be back for the stretch run and playoffs.

It's not that Boston's bad without Delonte, but it's highly frustrating as fans to never see the whole team playing at once -- or even anything CLOSE to the whole team.

It's also bad for postseason, because even if everyone's IS healthy in the spring, the team's had virtually no chance of finding the right rotation, because everybody's been out at some point or other. It'd be nice for everyone to find and nail down their roles before spring.
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, 'Thy will be done,' and those to whom God says, 'All right, then, have it your way.'

You don't have a soul. You are a Soul. You have a body.

Daniels is playing a key and clutch role in this game.

i would just like to point this out in case some of us are taking it for granted: KG's pick and roll defense is absolutely amazing!!! doesn't show up on the stat sheet but he will snuff out the opposing team's pick and roll attack

Help ... I'm on the verge of being despondent about this season, and about the entire Big 3 "window." We just get Delonte back and now he's probably out for many weeks, which throws off our rotation AGAIN. Meanwhile, Lakers keep plugging along, beating teams they're supposed to be beating, not suffering any injuries besides the ever-injured Bynum (whom they clearly don't need in order to win), and here's Boston, still struggling with injuries, still losing to crappy teams. Looking more and more like 07-08 was a one-off. Fun, but disappointing overall.

kinda sums up our feelings exactly. i gotta mix another Crown.

Nets weathering the storm right now.  C's just need to get over the hump and then keep the pressure on.  But, getting a lead in this one has been brutally uphill.

We're out of New England and can't watch the game, I'm half-way through a nice pile of beer, and tune in to CB to learn that [surprise!] Delonte is injuired...injured...

The 82 game war of attrition is on, and Danny armed us with reinforcements with glass jaws...JO and Delonte have lengthy histories of nagging little injuries, Shaq is 107 years old and only good for about 20 minutes/game (what Kareem worked in his last year), and the other offseason addition wasn't in the league last year.

And Danny was talking about our depth?

We need Max back...get on my back, boys...

That was a great shot.  Pass to a completely wide open Davis from about ten feet. I think he makes that 75% of the time.
