Help ... I'm on the verge of being despondent about this season, and Meanwhile, Lakers keep plugging along, beating teams
Keep in mind thi is the Round of 82. The keeper games start in April.

and in other news, Heat are down against the Magic 51-43 at halftime. we're pretty much in the same hole, but at least we're up against a lesser team.

I wouldn't be despondent. This isn't even close to the team we should be seeing when it counts.  Baby and Semih will barely see the floor.

Even if West mangled his hand, it's not even December and it wasn't his shooting hand.

Well, i dont want to be donnie the downer but a wrist fracture (and im 99% certain thats the case from how delonte landed) takes 6+ months to heal in normal terms, i dont know what the recovery period is in the sports world but in normal medicin its 6+ months

As if losing to the Nets at home again wasn't bad enough :(

Hope it's just a bad sprain but more than likely will be broken. Believe he broke that same wrist at Clevelend. 2-3 months is my guess :'( :'( :'(

The bad luck that befalls this team is just ridiculous...

Delonte broke that same wrist in Celeveland, he was out for 6 weeks.

It's just a shame we haven't had a chance to see what a healthy C's team can do this year so far.

I don't know why everyone is fretting right now over DWest. Last time I checked, we were 8-2 without him. There is virtually no way he won't be back for the stretch run and playoffs.

He hurt his NON-SHOOTING hand, which makes a big difference.

Even if it is broken, I doubt he misses more than two months. The only real problem I can see is if he ruptured a tendon/ligament. Those could take longer to heal than a bone, but the fact that it was his right wrist should help out some.

Hopefully it isn't as major as it looked, but hey, let's get these injuries out of the way now. I wouldn't mind getting reinforcements like Perkins and West when January/February roll around, which is usually when the Celtics hit their seemingly annual skid anyway.

But right now, let's worry about not losing a home game to the Nets AGAIN.

Six months? Incorrect.
Six weeks? Probably more like it. Probably add another month or so to make sure it's healed.

Delonte is a separate issue but can we really afford to keep losing these games? This isn't last year's EC. Another year older, if we by some miracle make the Finals we'll be road underdogs in the Finals AGAIN. Can you see us winning a game 7 in LA? We just just can't keep losing these games, I'm sorry..

It was a shame we didn't get to see a healthy C's team in Game 7.

It's a long season and every team has to deal with injuries at some point. The Heat are missing players. The Lakers don't have Bynum still.

I want this team healthy in the playoffs. They are deep enough to hold their own in the regular season against anyone.

Google offers some more optimistic timeframes -- obviously dependent upon the severity/complexity of the break.  But, could be back within 2 months according to some of the articles.
