Ah, I don't know if Peja is the answer. To me, he's a Michael Finley clone (as in the same or worse physical condition, same small role). Doesn't provide the stopper we need...honestly I bet that Luke Harangody has more defensive use in him at this point, and I'd rather play Marquis than Peja.

I agree, if he gets bought out I think he is a perfect fit. He provides a backup for PP,  a great shooter off the bench and another vet presence with tons of playoff experience. He is also insurance in case PP or Ray get injured.

I guess he's better than Von Wafer, but I think Harangody fits better for us.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

I think you're right.  I think going small might be a better option.  Going with a line up with Rondo, Delonte and Ray at the 1,2,3.  I understand Ray would have issues with your bigger 3's such as Carmelo, LeBron, but most of the league has issues with those guys.
do it

If you mean Harangody is a better fit for sitting on the bench until the d-league season starts, I can agree with that.

Is Harangody going to be this season's favorite of the people who put their hope in players who aren't good enough to get sufficient minutes to show everyone they aren't ready for the NBA?

As bad as Wafer is, there is a reason he sees the floor before Harangody.

I don't agree with this, but I don't think it is beyond debatable. Harangody is a 4 year player at Notre Dame, and all his coaches say he's very good at picking things up concept-wise. He'd still be a terrible NBA player any way you cut the pie right now, but worse than Von Wafer? Ehhhh....

As a small forward though?  Harangody is also a much better rebounder.

If we're going to get a one-dimensional player to back up the SF position, I'd rather it be a defensive stopper than a shooter who can't guard a chair.

No!!!! So far, I've seen nothing impressive about Harangody. Rather have Peja
