In games against bad teams, i say we play the bench for the majority of the game. At least the bench would give effort for 4 full quarters, even if they lose.

Shaq gets called for fouls just for being big.

Give him a break.  He was in a laker uniform for so long he became accustomed to getting away with things that guys in non-laker uniforms won't get away with.

boston plays when they want to. and that is unacceptable. they dont give effort night in and night out.

EXACTLY, that's how i've felt the past three years, when i look at the Lakers, they seem to bring it every game

Lakers coast a lot just like the C's do. They just close games out much better.

boston has the same record now as the thunder...and the thunder don't have durant nor jeff green. boston should be beating these low level teams easily if they would at least try. they sleepwalk and lose...and now they have to play in atlanta tomorrow? great. we will soon have the same record as the middle of the road teams in the east

i feel a nice 5 game losing streak coming on...we have seen this before with these guys.

Theres no way in hell they win in Atlanta, I can tell you that much.

Celtics will get blown out by 30, maybe more. Espeically with no Rondo.

You aren't the smartest guy in the world are you? The celtics slept through 3 quarters but they still should have won this game. I'm sorry but this was one of the worst officiated games I've seen in recent memory and it went both ways. That turnover wasn't Ray's fault at all, that steal was all arm and no ball as Barbosa tried to give the foul. Sorry but this ones on the refs cause this one was over. We win in Atlanta tomorrow. Guaranteed.

Have you seen any Atlanta vs Boston games?

Boston has no chance against these guys with the way they(celtics) are playing.

Except we have almost identical regular season records through those three years, 179-67 for LA and 178-68 for Boston.

Why are we surprised?  Over the last few seasons we’ve become chronic regular season underachievers. Today’s game was just further proof.

stop blaming the refs. Boston is playing crap basketball right now. lazy defense...low effort....just like last season

So you're saying that Ray didn't get fouled at the end there?

I disagree, have you never seen good teams have bad games? Last game they were just cold and OKC was making tough shots. This game we don't have our best player and the ball movement was sub par due to that.

This is not last season and I think you're jumping off the bandwagon a little too early. I don't understand all of these new bandwagon fans that love us when we win but then a couple bad games and we're terrible. I watched before the big 3 and haven't missed a game in the last 7 seasons. You're lucky to watch this team play, don't get greedy.

Yes I have and I've also seen how the Celtics play when they're angry. They wont lose 3 in a row and I think Rondo will convince the staff to let him play. Even if he doesn't I don't think the Celtics will lose.

I hope you're on here tomorrow so I can gloat.

Weird box score:

Shaq goes 4-4 at the line?

Big minutes for KG, Paul, and Ray, who each have a positive +/-, Paul and KG +14 and +15, while the bench plays small minutes (except BBD) and are all minus-double digits.

West, Daniels, and Erden seem to have been killed, at -19 each, Erden in only 10 minutes?

Is it time to look at strengthening the bench yet?

Getting a bit chippy here...We're all fans, folks:  Play nice![/color]

This is one day I was envious of the Game Threads!  I wanted to just leave around half time, and knew I had to stay in chat until the bitter end.  I know these games happen to the best teams, but this was absolutely the most boring game I have seen.  I have watched blowout that could hold my attention better.  Actually, I stopped watching at the halftime break, and started watching again when Shaq fouled out (and the game, even though we lost, improved in quality then).  That sounds like Shaq was the problem, but in reality,he was not...shaq played pretty well.)  The basketball gods just had not been appeased yet and were still exacting their revenge.  If the Celts want wins, they have to put in the effort, attacking the rim on offense, and grabbing rebounds.  When everyone was oohing and aahhhing over Nate's shooting early, I thought it was an evil sign.  The rest of the team never got involved...that is why I do not like a shoot first point guard.

Sorry, I just had to vent this time!

Definitely screwed by refs at the end but it shouldn't come down to that.

IF WE GIVE THE REFS A CHANCE TO CHANGE THE OUTCOME OF THE GAME THEY WILL!

Play 4 good quarters of basketball and the clowns in charge will be irrelevant.

Jeez these last 2 losses have been hard to swallow. Only 69 games to go... :( :'(
