I never would have thought of something like this. The singer is completely made up, and as far as I know, is a 360 degree holographic image. The voice is also computer generated.

Nah.

Though i totally would pay to see a gorillaz show, which is only one step removed from this by having actual singers beyond the digital persona's.

So i guess i'm closer than i thought to paying for something like this.

I think that it would entirely depend on how realistic the hologram was. I see no reason why it shouldn't be tried by some bands...You could get a cheaper ticket, and probably a more intimate venue. Plus the fact that you're watching a holographic performance is a novelty in itself.

*Oh, and I did know about what Gorillaz did with holograms for their concerts, but I think the Japanese do it better.
