This seems like a lot at first glimpse, but I will make my argument by defending that it is actually pretty fair.

Glen Davis is a high octane player off the bench who provides clutch scoring and some rebounding and defense. Although not a star, he is capable of putting up good numbers nightly and outhustling most players. However, there is somewhat of a "cap" on what he can give you consistently. To me, he would be the main attraction in this trade.

Jermaine O'Neal's contract only lasts one year beyond this one. At worst, he gives Chicago a veteran big that when healthy can contribute. With Shaq back, Garnett healthy, and bigs like Erden showing they can contribute at the NBA level, one could argue that Jermaine's presence on this squad is negligible.

Kendrick Perkins's effect on the Celtics has been huge, but let's not forget how the Celtics have been playing without him (not too poorly).

The main drawback is that Boozer has had some injury problems. But let's not forget that this guy is still pretty young and is a 20/10 player. Although he may not be known for his defense, being on a team like the Celtics would help him adjust, as long as he knows how to make rotations. His five years is concerning, but he provides another proven player alongside a bunch of proven players. I would say - if Boozer returns to the court sometime soon and by December 15 appears to have regained his step, it's worth it.

Plus, Taj Gibson is having himself a pretty good year in Chicago...

I'd do it. Matchup issues would surely surface but Boozer is the best player in the deal.

Chicago would have to be nuts to trade him for two injured Centers and a backup PF/C.

Both teams say no.

Celtics too reluctant to break up their current nucleus (currently frontrunner for the title) + they'd risk sacrificing too much of their defense (backbone of the side).

Although, maybe if Boston signed Dampier. That would help lessen the blow defensively. That may work.

I don't see any reason for Chicago to consider the offer though.

You think they're ahead of the Lakers?

I do agree that the Celtics look like they'll win the East, Orlando and Miami haven't been too impressive.

Definitely ahead of the Lakers. The C's have improved their post defense a great deal by signing Jermaine O'Neal and Shaquille O'Neal in the offseason. The Lakers no longer have an advantage in the paint. Series changer. Boston are the firm favourite.

Miami are the only question mark. Too early to be know exactly how much of a threat they'll be. But for now they've got a long way to go ... so Boston is the current frontrunner.

What kind of drugs do you think the Bulls GM is currently addicted to?

I'm guessing you think it's some kind of hallucinogenic that makes him see visions of BBD as an athletic player with 20-10 potential and Perk as a 100% healthy all-around player with no history of serious injuries.

No thanks.

Would not give up that much front court depth for Boozer, although he is a great player.

Would not feel comfortable with only have Garnett, Boozer, Shaq and Semih as our frontcourt in the playoffs.

I like the idea of trading those 3 for a higher quality player, but this deal won't happen.  Chicago definitely wouldn't do this deal, and I don't like how this team would leave the Celtics at center.

If the Celtics could trade Perkins, Davis, and Jermaine for a quality starting center then I'd love it, but I don't any team accepting that.

This is a two dimes and a nickel (or two nickels and a dime) for a quarter type of deal.  Chicago would pass.

I would pass as well on the glass man.  Signed big contract hurt.  It's been the story of his career.

BBD is better all around player gets paid less and isn't hurt when the wind blows.  I guess I'll never understand the fascination with this guy.  He hasn't even played a second with Chicago and someone is looking to get him here.

No thanks.

Like someone mentioned little chance of a trade shaking up the core of the roster and why would they with the best record.  Not too mention the only young bigs (perk and bbd?).  Although it doesn't appear that anyone really cares about that which is interesting in a way.

Yeah.  Bad idea.  Then it's just KG, Boozer, and Shaq.  Shaq's too fragile and both Boozer and Shaq are too immobile to be effective defenders.

I wouldnt even have to think about saying yes to that deal....

Chicago on the other hand, they would have to be smokin some awfully dank stuff to stay on the phone for more than 3 seconds after hearing that proposal.

Good point but, they did sign a guy that tripped and broke his hand and hasn't played a single minute so far this season so you never know..
