BTW i thought this was another admirable job for Semih Erden. Name me another rookie center who’s playing more productive minutes for a contending team.

We get a couple days to rest and gear up for the heat. Pumped up for round 2

Hopefully the C's at least have Shaq healthy for the game. Not having JO, Shaq, or Perk really evens the playing field for Miami.

I think that’s the game that Shaq’s been aiming for since that Knicks game.

And this time off throughout the year will really help come playoff time.

Nice move putting Shawn Marion on Pierce in the fourth quarter.

Pierce had 22 points in 30 minutes prior to coming back in the fourth. Only managed four shots in the fourth, making only one of them (when Marion got caught in the pick and Terry had to rotate over).
Marion is still a great defender.

Argh, after that frustrating third quarter where the refs handed Dallas all of their points we still could have stolen this game.

Oh well, hopefully one of the O'Neal's can play Thursday.
I thought Marion was finished as an elite defender after his final season in Phoenix and time in Miami and Toronto ... boy, was I wrong ... he has been absolutely fantastic since joining the Mavs.

Especially against the best of the best in the league. He gave Kevin Durant fits last season. Kobe, Wade and LeBron. Bothered them more than anyone else in the league.

I don't think any other rookie C's meet your restrictive criteria. Default ftw!

I think Splitter will quickly change that for San Antonio.

Motivation is a powerful thing, plus I think he really is now just a SF. No longer has the hops or quickness that allowed him to play PF against most match ups.

*sigh*

I'm worried about Thursday's game, I fear this could quickly turn into a 3 game losing streak.

I’d also like to note that Chandler doesn’t have free reign under the rim with Shaq under there. The Black Tommy Heinsohn would rather knock Chandler unconscious than get dunked on.

I thought he was playing the forward spot, but I do agree that he’s been effective.

But i did mean rookie centers in the whole league, not just Boston.

As been discussed on the main page of Celtics blog on the game recap. Celtics had 7 FT's the whole game 7! Ridiculous! Celtic's win this if refs call this game more evenly.

We had no real bigs for most of the game, this one doesn't sting so bad. Now the Miami game
I want even though doesn't mean much - hopefully Shaq suits up and before you know it Delontes back.

I got a strong feeling the big shamrock will be playing Thursday. I knw bad officiating had a lot do with it as well, but we didn't attack the rim enough. We should have kept feeding it to KG and work off him

Watching (the replay) for the first time ... I love Nate, but Barea is having his way with him. Are we gonna get a whistle sometime?!?

The price of taking charges ... hope Glen is OK. The Celts are just plain out of sync tonight ... very little energy or movement.

Tempting though, isn't it? ;) Well, Baby's OK, but Jermaine's gone for the night ... great!  :P

Jermaine having to bow out early certainly wasn't a highlight. We really need Shaq back (Or Perk!) in a hurry. Semih has been amazingly solid, but just doesn't get the respect he deserves at this point and Glen isn't a machine, neither is KG.

The injuries have us a little thin upfront (Didn't think I'd be saying that this season) and it hurts us.
