While his numbers are great, I would say he is playing with better players around him, and shooting/scoring less, in comparision to Magic and Stockton. Stock used to put up 13 dime while scoring 18 points on average. Magic played with some talented teams, but what if Stockton had Paul, Ray, KG, Shaq, JON to pass to? I am by no means a Rondo hater, but you just need to be objective sometimes.
None of our guys are in their primes. How do you think Rondo would do with a 27 year old Karl Malone?
Yay!! you make a good point to this terrible argument
First of all, John stockton never averagerd 18 pts a game his entire career
second, Stockton didnt become the player we remember until his 4th season, his first 3 werent any better than rondos first 3 statistically.
and lastly, Stockton played with the all time leading scorer in NBA history ( edit : 2nd leading scorer all time, that guy magic played with 1st

) his entire career, including his absolutelte prime, Imagine rondo getting KG in his prime? nevermind Karl Malone. and he had other good players in their prime, to me that equal or are better than having former great players, for example a prime jeff hornacek is as good as a 34 yr old ray allen
Magic didnt have players to pass too? cmon bro, maybe you should look at this objectively
