don't live by the three
I'll take having two of the best three point shooters in the NBA wide open. Especially when the lay up wasn't available.

I'll take the 3 too -- but not as a first option.  When this team gets a lead they stop being aggressive and shoot 3's.  As a result, they haven't been able stretch leads -- which I think is key for a team that needs to rest its older players.

Nice little finish to the half there.

Nice shot Rondo!  Good way to finish up the half.  13 points...I'll take it.

Nice last two possessions for the C's, pushed the lead out nicely.

Great finish.  Rondo again at the buzzer.

Those threes were generated by Rondo aggressively attacking the paint and forcing the Pistons to collapse. I'm okay with that as long as he's not passing up lay ups.

Now Pierce/Ray don't run the break as hard as I like at times, instead they run to the line. But in that sequence I didn't see that.

I loved Rondo yelling at the bigs to run the floor before he got the ball to Pierce for the transition lay in.

Haha Rondo must be a 90% shooter when the buzzer rings. Awesome three to end the half!

Up 13 after two nice offensive possessions, now let's not get complacent but extend the lead right to start the 2nd half.

Ideally, with the back to back, get out hard and fast in this 3rd and push the lead over 20.  Give the starters some rest before the travel back to Boston and Bucks game tomorrow night.

I can dream, right?  ;)

Agreed.  I wasn't speaking to that sequence specifically but generally.  They do tend to lose aggressiveness when up by <7 and they 'settle' for too many 3's in that context.

It's amazing how good the Celtics offense is when they don't turn it over (and they play a defense as bad as Detroit's).

Rondo controlled the pace beautifully and Pierce and KG are feasting on weak Pistons defenders.

57 points off of 50 possessions with only 3 turnovers?

Can't argue with that.

KG should keep posting Daye up every time down the floor.

McGrady out for the game, that's bad news for the C's.

KG can't wander that far from Daye.
