Well, when will this guy play strong....where is his hard defense.....can he dunk? Rebound? I saw him block one shot.....I saw the ball fly off his hands while open underneath 3 times.....He always looks like "Can you believe that happened" Where is that aggression...game face..? What is he supposed to be doing out there...? Shooter, slasher, Defender....so when will he do these things..? How about a trade for TA...!

He is a sinewy and sneakily long and effective player. He isn't a guy that is gonna embarrass you like Shannon Brown, Trevor Ariza or Corey Brewer but he is a necessary player that makes the team run smoothly... He doesn't do anything exceptionally well but "does everything well" He is the "Q"uintessential glue guy.

He definitely isn't the easiest guy on the team to like because it often looks like his mind is elsewhere but I don't know what your expecting... I would gladly take 7 2 and 2 from him for the season and be happy with it.

I think MQ is going to give us a couple of good games, and a couple of bad games, that is just who he is, and why he is not an NBA starter. Last night he looked bad. Opening night he was very good.

Hahaha, that is great, you should be his agent. Write his review for the year. Sounds like a better player than I have seen in almost 2 years. He might do something soon.

I do enjoy the low expectations and the invisible stuff that people "see?".  Like scal magic...!  He is the "glue" or are we just "stuck" with him.....KG is the man the keeps this team straight. MD looks as if he could try to stay "straight" a little longer..maybe his nickname should be "Smokey"....!

Marquis is already effective. He is doing a lot of things that stay unnoticed (his defense is pretty good, and he cuts very well to the basket). I thought he could have done more last night but it was mostly Rondo's fault who threw him absurd passes (too high, too strong... all kind of bad passes) because otherwise Marquis was getting good looks to the basket.

Plus he got the huge block at the end on Stoudemire to secure the win.

I think the guy has played pretty well in the first three games. He and Davis have been the only two effective players off the bench, which is going to have to get much better in order for this team to succeed.

The bench is missing Delonte and, eventually, Shaq. I'd expect improvement.

I think Marquis is doing okay.

Good shot selection, solid ball-handling, solid defense and serviceable rebounding for a SG. Those are the general expectations for Marquis and he has done that fairly well so far this season.

If he can maintain his early season form, I would be happy with that. I'm not optimistic about that though.

Daniels will never be an impact wing off the bench.  His most dramatic impacts were his rookie season as an oversized PG and his last season in Indy when he got to put up 13 shots per game (the only season he attempted more than 9).

Rather he's a solid placeholder at the wing.

The only way I think he could make a bigger impact is if we played him at PG, and that's a bit too gimmicky for Doc (besides, we don't have a wing to take his place behind Paul and Ray)
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

Can we agree on what we'd like him to produce?  Perhaps by the end of the year a stat line like this:

74 games, 24:36 mpg average

FG's:  2.3/5.6; 41.8%
3PT: 1.4/3.8; 38.0%
FT:  1.3/1.6 80.9%
Rebs, Ast, Stl: 4.4, 1.5, 1.0
Points: 7.4

This was Posey off the bench in the title season.

Quisy's better.  Probably fewer 3 attempts, but as many or more points in as many shots.  Probably more assists, similar steals...

Though I do like the nickname "Smokey Q."

Yep, I agree with everything here.  I've been pleased with him so far but it's a long season.

I dont know about that one.  Posey's a better defender, 3 pt shooter, and rebounder then Quis.

The only aspects of the game where I would give Quisy the upper hand are his ability to penetrate and his passing.

I'd take an 07-08 Posey over Marquis any day.  And I like Smokey Q
When I'm in the gym...I like to grunt when  I get my swell on... That way everyone can see how jacked and tan I am.

With all due respect, threads like these REALLY aggrevate me. 3 games into the season and you already want to give up on Marquis.

Just like another thread I read here recently where somebody wanted to already trade Jeramine and Quis to the Sixers for Evan (what the heck has he done) Turner and the overpaid Nocioni.

Guys, let's take a breath here!! Please. And to mention, I am not sure what games you've been watching, but Daniels has played just fine. Could he play better? Yes, but we also only have like 79 more games to go.

And by the way, I happen to think Daniels is MUCH more talented all-around then Tony Allen.
