Marquis has played pretty well so far this year. And last year before his injury for that matter as well. And he was effective for a bad Pacers team. Have you watched the games this season? He has played a backup role off the bench greatly.

Wow, good rounded solid ballplayer in every aspect of the game (ok not 3 pt shooting).  Guy plays very good defense, great ball handler opening up nate for jump shots, very good passer.
 ???
very happy he is on our team

Meadowlark,

I would agree that Daniels can play better, but to compare him to Tony Allen this year is a joke!!!  Marquis is shooting 53% and has a 5.33 Efficiency Rating and the GREAT Tony the Tiger is shooting a stellar 36% and has a 1.00 Efficiency Rating.

I'll take "Q!!!!"

Even if MD performed under pressure, which in the NBa or any pro sport is the only time it matters, his scoring wouldn't have helped much. TA defense was what got us thru those rounds last year. Closed out Wade and Lebron, then was a big help in the other series, MD under pressure...he faked a concussion..! I WANT MD to do what we need, but this invisible stuff...please. He has shown some flashes of this play, but not nearly as good as TA did in the PLAYOFFS, otherwise known as the only time it matters..! So, md has time to get it. But rondos passes, well, you have to grab them, and make it work, someone will always hit you, tip the ball, ect.....MD has shown he can slash, jump, and dunk...but he hasn't shown it much yet this year, and he is pretty weak in fortitude. I hope he finds his strength, desire, and fire. BBD turned the corner, contract year...? I hope that isn't the only reason...! I know i am right about md, like i said , he has some of the tools already..we'll see. Last year, don't even talk about it, i went off, but not on you, the guy i qouted....been out...!

so far, i don't like wafer, some say he had a good yaer last year....we'll see, but that idea..is YOUR post. i don't see much desire in him either, he waits for the ball, shoots....no dunks, no slashing....what..?

One bad game and we're asking if he'll EVER be effective?

Lol ok.  ::)

Sarcasm, and not effective either, but noticed. As if MD had this great game ever.....hmm, last year...well, no. 1 whole year, and a lot of REASONS  as to why he could get it going. A hand injury, is no excuse to not be ready and in shape, which he wasn't after it, it is also a good reason to become stronger with the other hand...! What did he do after that, well when called upon, he ran out and faked a concussion.....yea, thanks! "I..uhm, ran into that guys stomach"..???  So, now begins the season of low expectations, and invisible contributions. Well, i guess you don't have magic scal to bleed for, so you need someone.! Good thing you don't coach or play hoop. But you are a great fan..! And you'll give a lot of money for not much return, which is very generous. See, I know MD can play much better, and i expect him to also, right now he is giving 25-40% of his effort..why....that is for doc and kg to figure out...And those rondo passes, those were perfect....also known as the type of passes you'll get in the nba, you-all used to say TA had stone hands, but now you say it is the passers fault....

Yes, I'm not saying Daniels had a breakout game or anything like that, but before his injury, he was indeed effective. I don't know what happened after he injured his hand, but doesn't mean he wasn't effective last year or hasn't been so far this year.

Also, can you please tell me why you think Daniels FAKED his injury against Howard? It's one to think he was soft for not doing much after coming back from his hand injury, but FAKE another injury? Do you have an article talking about this?

Faked a concussion? ???

How do you fake a concussion? You need to get in touch with Ed Lacerte and the Celtics medical team...because, obviously, they can't differentiate fake from real...maybe you can pass along your medical knowledge to them too.

Seems in vain to try to discuss reasonable this issue with someone who like to jump to conclusions like that which make so sense whatsoever.

Meadowlark,

Please do NOT ever insert your words into a green box between my words and my signature making them appear to be MY words.  I do NOT want people to think that YOUR incoherent "rant" was in ANY WAY written by me!!!!

Mods, please check into this.

Thanks,

Whoa, you almost hurt my feelings there..."maybe i should call ed l"...hahahahaha How about this..." I think md is fine, and didn't see it that way, he does what i want him to and i think he had a legit injury if he said so"  Next time you get emotional, ask an adult to help you form a response!

What's up with all the Marquis hate? Am I the only one who thinks he's been playing pretty decently?

Definately agree, Meadow has some good points and every right to his opinion.

I thought Marquis looked great in the pregames, though I don't think alot of people were able to watch them. I did and noticed that he isn't playing as well as in the pregames yet, but I feel like he's capable of it. He was looking awesome in those games.

so he looked "awesome" during the pre-season ............ exhibition games are generally played against less than the opponents' best five and there is very little pressure for someone who has a secure roster spot - maybe that's why Marquis looked so "awesome."

the poor guy still looks to me like he downed a bottle of coedine cough syrup during pre-game.
oh well, at least he turned Pierce on to a good tattoo artist.
