Tanguay? Didn't hear him say *anything* during the game.

That might've been because he was too far up Tommy's behind.

Man that was horrible.

TP for this one!

That was by for the most annoying part.If you pt that aside, he wasnt all that bad. I am curious to see that if he was in the booth with someone he wasnt so afraid of if he would loosen up and do better.

I like Gary in the role.
Guess I'm the only one here who does.

where's the button to subtract tommy points? lol but yea for sure you are. It's funny cus I never really appreciated mike before hearin Tanguay comment last night. As soon as i started watching though, something felt really off. It made me realize there really is a style and rhythm, kind of an art to commentating. And Tanguay doesnt have it at all. It's like listenin to a singer whose absolutely tone deaf or something. I didnt know someone commentating could get on my nerves as much as it did until that game. And his ridiculous voice doesnt help matters at all. Neither does his shameless buttkissing

It is difficult to listen to the broadcast when he does the games; however, I get the sense that he does all the butt kissing for *our* consumption more than anything. In other word, he does it out of respect for a fan base that, for many, hold Tommy in high regard. If I frame it cognitively in that perspective, it makes it more tolerable for me. I can respect someone who is trying to be culturally sensitive and respectful.

I am so with you, Jon. He wasn't that bad at all. We're just spoiled. Wow, the Celtics fans are particular. I'm a Celts fan but I can give the guy a break; it was just a fill-in job and I agree it seemed he was trying to show respect for Tommy for the fanbase, not to kiss ass. He didn't disturb me in the least.

I thought he was bad last year, but for some reason this year it was funny to me. He wasn't as bad at raising his voice for first quarter plays that didn't deserve it, he actually made me laugh with his Tommy interactions, and he is not nearly as bad as Donny is when he fills in for Tommy on the color.

Ugh, get ready to watch on mute. Tanguay may possibly be the worst play by play man of all time.
I am sad because Gorman can make Tommy almost bearable. I would watch the CSN broadcast with Tanguay if Tommy was also not there, but I can't take Tommy without Gorman.

I almost wish I didn't live in the region so that I could watch the other team's broadcast on league pass.

I wish he would show me some respect by talking back and giving evidence that he things the fans can actually see through Tommy's nonsense.

Tommy has been even worse this year than last.

Yes, it's kind of the elephant in the room for me, but Tommy is almost unbearable to listen to at this point. I don't know if it's my own maturity or Tommy losing his sanity/going senile, but it's almost embarrassing listening to him in recent broadcasts. The plays he singles out as being atrocious calls aren't even the proper ones to be calling out. I cringe a lot now, tbh.
