How is it that the Magic can hang with the Bulls without Dwight but the Celtics without Shaq get their butts handed to them?
Orlando going small by necessity has given them a lot of offensive boards and threes

One thing could be is the Bulls haven't had the same level of over the road success vs at home success this season.Another thing could be is C's lack of focus and the Bulls wanting it more that night.Sometimes it boils down to which team is hungriest for a win that day, especially if they are close to being evenly match.(IMO)

Their bench is a strong collection of defenders and a single shooter (Korver). Not terrible at all, one if their strengths.

This makes me wonder . . . why couldn't we similarly take advantage of them with small lineups featuring Green?  Also, Troy Murphy could actually be really important in a matchup with Chicago.

Joey Dorsey had 20 rebounds last night. 10 offensive boards.

He is a player I'd like to bring to Boston next season. He'd be a very nice third string PF. Solid defender and excellent rebounder. Very physical. Good athleticism. Good chance he'll be available on a minimum contract.

Heads Up:if you are near a radio around 1pm Pierce is due to be a guest on the Mut&Merloni Show(weei)today. :)

Great game last night between the Thunder & Kings...D.Cousins scored a career high 30pts.DaMarcus is a beast in the paint. If he could ever get his head on straight he could turn into an all star someday. Even though the Thunder won the game Sacramento made it competitve thru most of the game.Maybe by next season they will be ready to bid for a playoff spot in the west.

Kobe just did one of Big Baby's patented spinning fall-away jumpers.  The only difference was, his actually went in.

(Yes, I'm still bitter about some of the blackhole hero ball from our meaningless game with the Wizards.)

I like DeMarcus a lot, even with is attitude issues.  The Kings need to fire Westphal and get a guy who can figure out how to make Tyreke and DeMarcus work together.  Maybe they'll get a point guard in the draft and start playing Tyreke at the 2 or 3.

DeMarcus is going to be really good some day . . . worst case scenario he's a taller Zach Randolph, imo.

I agree with you...i was hoping somehow we(C's)couldve picked him up or down the road.He is a superstar in the makings.Yes he needs a different type of coach that can get the best out of DeMarcus. If he hadn't got a bad rep.for different incidents during the season he could possible be rookie of the year. He's been the most consistent if you take Blake out of the race.I don't view Blake as a rookie like most do.Wall has had a decent season but inconsistent in my opinion and spent time on the DL.I don't know how they judge the rookie of the year race but if its close to the MVP then its a lot to do with popularity and Cousins is not that around the league by media, officials, and probably coaches. He's got  a K.Perkins-like demeanor on the court with a lot more offensive skills. tp

Wow, Memphis is tanking HARD to avoid playing the Lakers in the first.  Looks like they'll get their wish too.

It's a shame, the Lakers shouldn't take more than 5 to get rid of the Hornets, with or without Bynum.  No David West seals whatever slim chance NO might've had.

I had that sense right when David West went down that the Lakers were going to draw them...looking 99% nailed on now.
