Nice run by the Blazers. That zone defense bothered the Clips.

Blake Griffin had a tip in on the first possession of the third quarter. Since then, he has only scored one point in the second half.

He has been excellent on the backboards, in pushing the ball in transition both with the dribble and with his passing and has created a huge amount of energy for his side ... but he hasn't looked for his shot often enough in the second half.

Two minutes to go in the fourth. Clips down by 10.

Monta Ellis with 46 points on 18-24 shooting tonight... Wow.

Washington has one of the worst interior defenses in the league this season.

Dwight Howard is going to murder the Wizards tonight. This should be a comfortable win (double digits, maybe 20+) for Orlando.

Vince Carter should have a big game too. Small guard defending him. A lot of defensive attention on Dwight, opponent bigs who can't make defensive rotations. A lot of opportunities to get high percentage looks.

I had a feeling McGee would become a decent defender, at least on the help. Not looking that way so far.

Wizards seem really lost so far. Blatche throwing up some horrible shots isn't helping in the slightest.

Liking what I'm seeing out of Wall so far.

Who ends up with a worse record in the east?  Washington or Toronto?

I'll still go with my proclamation that Toronto will be the worst in the East but Washington certainly doesn't look too poised to do much damage.

13 shots to get 6 points ... oh my gosh, John Wall.

Stan Van Gundy does a brilliant job of getting his team to play off of point guards with weak jump shots. I'm not sure any other team in the league defends PGs with the weakness better than Orlando does. Thoroughly prepared on what they want to do on that given night against that specific opponent. Drilled into them.

Yeah, Wall has definitely gotten worse as the game as progressed.

Bad matchup to judge whether Vince made any improvement this summer or not. Appearently, he lost 3% body fat and regained some of his explosiveness back.

Looking forward to see how he does against tougher defensive opponents. Want to see whether he can bounce back or not, get back to his NJ Nets form a year earlier. That would give Orlando a major boost.

Miami and Orlando is about to begin.

Miami should consistently win a matchup against the Magic.

Orlando have struggled to defend Bosh in Toronto, Wade in Miami and LeBron in Cleveland. The Magic have no answer to Miami moving Bosh to the center position, refusing to double Dwight and staying at home on the shooters.

They can't deny LeBron/Wade in the pick and roll with Bosh against Dwight + Dwight cannot roam off of Bosh + Bosh can score consistently in one-on-one play against Dwight. A bad mixture. Dwight will have a big scoring night (against Bosh) but his teammates won't and Orlando will lose.

Rashard Lewis does a better job defensively against Bosh than Dwight Howard does.
