Bulls should be posting up Thomas ... they're only using him outside for screens, and getting only jump-shots as a result. I love Thibs' defensive savvy, but his offensive sets are a bit weak. Thomas is very strong and uses his body well, but they're not even getting him into the paint.

Win/win game for the C's. I'm rooting for Miami though.

It'd be nice if they had a small break between all these games on Christmas Day.

Needed a break after that Celtics-Magic game!

JVG Boston is the best defensive team in the league you bozo.

I love when Kobe is whiny, usually means the Lakers are losing.

Chris Bosh is a lot more effective against Odom and Gasol than Gasol and Bynum.

That extra length and bulk in the paint makes it a lot more difficult for him to drive to the rim from 15-17 feet.

Yeah that game was tense for me  :-[.

2-15 on mostly open jump shots for Nate, missed Rondo something fierce.

The Lakers aren't doing a good job of attacking the Heat's defense at all.

Lovely extra pass by James Jones to setup that Mario Chalmers three pointer.

J.Jones is superb at making those small passes that facilitate a offense. Not a playmaker but a ball mover. Significantly improves a team's ball movement.

Tough game for LA today with Bynum still limited on his recent return from injury.

Bynum only played 6 minutes in the first half. Hasn't played 20 minutes in any contest yet. He has only had one game where he scored more than 7 points or grabbed more than 5 boards (Toronto when he had 16/7 in 18 minutes).

Without having Andrew Bynum as a 30-33 minute a night player, an impact player on both ends of the court and on the backboards, the Lakers do not have an advantage in the paint against Miami.

And without that advantage in the paint, the Lakers are not the favourite. Miami should be the favourite in this game. They deserve to be the favourite.

Shannon Brown = streak shooter who pads his stats against weaker sides ??

I'm not sure ... but that is what I'm thinking.

Despite his hot shooting start to the season, Shannon Brown  still looks a below average backup two guard to me.

At this point, the Lakers are obviously not on the level of the Celtics, Magic, Spurs, Mavericks and Heat. I expect them to get there eventually, but unfortunately, I don't think it'll be soon. I see them giving a few more bad performances before they hit their stride.

I actually disagree with you here. I've seen his consistency for enough games to realize that he is a pretty decent 3-point shooter.
