This is why I want the Celtics to have the #1 seed.

There's going to be a war between two of the three (BOS, MIA, CHI) in the second round of the eastern playoffs.  I'd rather not be involved in that one.

Let MIA-CHI duke it out and come into the ECF exhausted.

I don't think 2 teams duking it out in a 7 games series or whatever has as big an impact as people think. Is there really any correlation to winning a tough series and then losing the next?

We had 2 tough 7 games series in the 08 season then won the next 2 in six. In 09 we had a brutal 7 game series with Chi than lost in 7 to the Magic (without KG). The Magic went on to spank the Cavs who had swept 2 series in a row at that point.

If the Celtics have a chance to avoid it, which they do, then I'm all in favor of it.  I'd rather not test the theory.

Yeah obviously I'd prefer it but above everything I prefer health and keeping our guys fresh.

Chicago just doesn't scare me. After Rose there is no one on that team that I worry about.

Pretty much. They are similar to Cleveland over the years, Rose is a weaker version of LeBron, KG has a huge height advantage over Boozer, Noah isnt an offensive player and gets his points off offensive rebounds and garbage plays.

If we can limit Rose we should be able to handle them easily, they have a terrible offense.

Yeah kinda how I feel a little with the Lebron-Rose comparison.

Also we beat them twice already this year and the one loss was without KG and Baby possibly having his worst game of the season replacing him

If the C's are fully healthy we a huge advantage in the front court.

Perk/KG/Shaq/Baby/Semih/JO is much better then Boozer/Noah/Asik/Thomas

If Rondo can penetrate and get Boozer/Noah in foul trouble we could run away with it if we do face each other in the playoffs.

The better team almost always wins, I cant see a hungry/healthly/motivated C's team losing to the Bulls who are a dangerous team, but not at the elite level yet.

Carlos Boozer still having the same old struggles when guarded by talented guys with length.

Yeah, KG will make for a much defender on Booz than Baby.
Agreed.

Which is why I love Boston's chances in any potential Bulls series in the future.

Yeah KG is a much better option than Baby.  One of the best guys to contain D-Rose too.

Eh?

In my original post to you, I made NO mention of Glen.....

Everything you said about Rondo could be said about Rose as well. If that matchup takes place, whichever point guard plays best will greatly impact the series.

Rose is a scary player because the C's really haven't figured out how to slow him down. He's developed a nice jump shot to go with his slashing ability.

If it happens will be a tough physical series no doubt.

Watching Josh Howard in the Wizards game.  Looking very good.  Looks like the best player on the team actually.

John Wall has picked up some terrible defensive habits on the Wizards.  One of the laziest defenders I've seen.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups
SG: Kobe Bryant
SF: Jimmy Butler
PF: Pau Gasol
C: Yao Ming

with Rondo's speed and long arms, he should be able to do a good job on Rose if he actually played smart defense on him instead of looking to steal the ball every time.

Bulls about to get upset by the Raptors...gives us a little breathing room in the standings.  Now they just have to beat the Heat tomorrow while we knock out Denver and we'll be sitting pretty.

Man, Chicago has a really tough schedule, they are messing up by losing to teams like the Raptors.

Heat is going to DEMOLISH the bulls tommorow night, Bulls coming into Miami on the second night of a back to back.

I just hope we can keep up with the nuggets high scoring tommorow night. Semih is going to have alot to handle with Mozgov and Nene.

Bulls will beat Miami tomorrow. Classic trap game tonight.

The Magic lost at home to the Kings. Looks like they are done.

Bulls barely beat Miami in Chicago with Bosh out and LeBron injured.

Miami is going to kill them tommorow night, they are the better team. Im sick of people acting like Chicago is a title favorite and should beat everyone. They are clearly still in the second tier of teams in the east.

Orlando loses to Sacramento tonight. Orlando is headed in a freefall right now. Stan Van Gundy isnt going to last past this season, and Dwight is definately gone in 2012.
