Last night Tommy said something to the effect of I really liked what I saw from Bradley for the little we did see him. He then said he knew within the first few minutes of watching Rondo play in the preseason his rookie year that he was special. Tommy said he got the same feeling about Bradley.

What I saw in limited time is someone who going to absolutely lock people down on defense.

When the big 3 are gone we are going to move forward with a foundation of 3 elite defenders (Rondo and Perk already are, I predict Bradley will be).
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Let's hope he is right.

Didn't he used to say great things about Banks  ::)?

Tommy redefines the word homer. He always takes an optimistic view of all Celtics players. However, comparing the feeling he got watching Bradley the first time to watching Rondo is a strong statement, because in comparing him to Rondo he's comparing him to a Celtic he already describes favorably.

  • You know my methods, Watson.
I love Tommy, but he's full of crap...

Well Rondo did drop 11 8 5 4 in his preseason debut in 2006.

A couple days later I knew he was the one after he dunked back Gerald Green's(i think) miss and stole the inbound, scored and got fouled but missed the free throw against Knicks. Those 4 seconds changed my life and after that he became my favorite player and the key to Celtic's success from then on.

Hopefully Bradley can have a similar impact.

That crossover... So quick.
I'm just scared with the thought that Avery's ankle may take his explosiveness away.

I agree.  He looked to me to be a young version of DJ on his defense, and I was so impressed!  I really didn't expect it.  I was really sorry his playtime was limited, I wanted to see more!  If he can play defense in the future, any way near as well he will be a monster.  The Celtics need someone who can stay in front of the quick guards on defense.

Tommy bleeds green more than all of us put together so we have to give him some slack.  However when Rondo did come up both Tommy and Cousy were more impressed with him than any rookie I'd say since Bird (I was also in shock)
Tommy also added last year ( i think) that he thinks rondo is hof caliber.  Now he might have loved waltah but I swear the "bad" years he was looking for positives to say unlike Cooz who said it like it was (hence the firing).  I personally loved what I saw from Bradley in limited mintues but then I also want Lasme on the team and wafer gone.  Him healthy and playing at a good level makes nate, delonte and wafer tradeable.
