OK guys I know I may be jumping to conclusions ( I hope I am ) but I feal JO is not happy here.  In the 1st preseason game he was sitting on the bench and what disturbed me was,  there was multyple times when they showed the bench and Shaq, PP, etc are sitting right next to him joking around and he looked like he was just watching the game right next to them but not particpating in anything they were talking about. Not once, it was like they were not even there. Then last night during pre game Tommy and gorman were on the mic and JO was in uniform working out behind them but was not on the bench during the game.  Now he was in NJ,  it was not like he was back home nursing his injury.  Why was he not there ?

Well, first off, JO is a much more serious person than Shaq and Pierce, and most of the other guys.  In fact, I am not sure I have ever seen him smile.  So I wouldn't read too much into that.

As for not being on the bench, there could be plenty of explanations, but most likely he was there, but may not have been sitting in an auxilary area, since he wasn't going to play.  That happens a lot.

Trust me,  I hope you are right.  I think he is a huge part of what the C's are going to be about this year.

That's a little to much looking for an issue.

I think he's fine as of now, but someone will be unhappy when/if Perkins returns.

Nah, I didn't find it boring.
I think chemistry is such a major winning factor for this team and we have so many new players, that it is bound to be contemplated.
Good OP and TP to ya

KG doesn't even sit on the bench when he's injured.  He stays home.

Kudos for showing up to J.O..  Feigning interest is optional!

After observing the physical limitations of Shaq last night, we can only hope that J O will be ready to play soon. I have much greater expectation for him. I think Shaq will be number 3 center once Perk returns.

I agree.  At this point, I've seen nothing to indicate there is anything but a honeymoon going on with all the new guys.

In other words, I think we are reaching for things a bit here.

JO did pretty good tonight considering his injury recovery. Hope that he can show us something more when he's all better.

Definitely agree here. There is also the possibility that JO plays well enough to supplant Baby as the first big off the bench. That should make for some interesting reading in the Herald morning edition.

We could go to:

Perk/JO/Shaq/Erden
KG/JO/Baby

for a bigs rotation.

That is the version of JO I want to see.

I tend to think this way, too. In this, JO and Ray Ray will get along fine, as will JO with the rest of his teammates.

Good to see Ray have another serious fellow out there. These two will hopefully keep the rest of them grounded.

On a related note, I didn't like his body language at all the first two possessions he was on the court. He seemed to be slugging along up and down, and appeared somewhat disinterested.

Not to jump to any conclusions, but I'd have loved to see him a little more invested in his first appearance in a Celtics uniform.

You're worried about J O neal because he wasnt laughing at Pierce and Shaq...

?

Really.

Cant we spin this and say, "Im worried about Shaq and Pierce because they are joking to much. JO looks great because he is really paying attention to the game."

I mean lets just hope he stays healthy, If he didnt wanna be here he wouldnt have signed a contract here, no?
