Is no one playing this game on the ps3?

I only buy the Exclusive stuff on PS3.  All cross platform games I play on Xbox.  More people I know irl and via the internet have Xbox.

Just won my first online game of 2k11 (1-0) is it me or was is the server kind of laggy? That's probably my biggest pet peeve with basketball games is the lag online. It doesnt take much to mess up a shot.

Some game are really laggy and I leave them ASAP.  But even the non laggy ones you have to adjust your shot to compensate.

It is just like going from playing indoors to outdoors.

I played it for the first time and found the turnovers ridiculous.  I couldn't make the most basic realistic passes.  I played with the Magic and Dwight had 0 points because it was impossible to get him the ball.
Philly:

Anderson Varejao    Tiago Splitter    Matt Bonner
David West    Kenyon Martin    Brad Miller
Andre Iguodala    Josh Childress    Marquis Daniels
Dwyane Wade    Leandro Barbosa
Kirk Hinrich    Toney Douglas   + the legendary Kevin McHale

It sucks at first, but if you use icon directional passing and wait for the low post player to establish position, It works out.

Also, call plays for the low post. I can't stress that enough. Clearing out the side with something like 25 Punch or 24 punch makes if much easier for the low post guy to go to work/ kick out for a three off the double.

Plays work well this year

Does anyone have any tips for using Pierce in the offense? I have no problem getting Rondo, Ray, West, Nate and even Wafer going (Don't really look for Shaq or KG often.. JO almost never.)

I just cant seem to incorporate Pierce into anything decent. Always seems to end up in an iso and a clanked midrange shot.

The crossover is your friend. Start w the ball in Pierce's left hand, and with enough room, cross to the right..once the opponent catches up to you, cross back to the left, take a step, and either go to the hole or shoot the now wide open midrange.

Works every time.

The other one that works is cross right to left, then press "Y" and back+left, then shoot an open fadeaway.

also, look for him on fastbreak 3's or kickouts. once you get the timing of his shot down (something easier said than done, i know) he's a really good shooter.

i also like doing those uhh... what are they called? those leaning or drifting shots. you just move the right stick in the same side that you're moving towards. Getting the timing of this shot is easier. If you move the right stick in the opposite direction, Pierce will do a spin into a jumpshot. it's good too but i find the drifting one more effective :)

My roommate and I both play this game on my ps3 that I put in the living room. Every time we create a new myplayer it auto saves over the previous one, even if we save the new player under a different name. I turned autosave off to fix this problem but I should be able to autosave without it deleting a file under a different name.

Should I have my roommate create his own ps3 log in and play under that?
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

I would.  That problem does not exist on Xbox.

  • Rondo doesn't believe in easy buckets...

I only use him from midrange in. His 3point release is horrible, but his midrange release is perfect. His midrange game is crazy you just have to learn the release. Use his gather (y when at a standing dribble) or step back to create space when you need to, it doesn't really take much with him. He has a decent post game as well, at least the fadeways. When I play with the Celts I usually just bomb away with Ray, and pull Pierce's defender with Rondo a bit and use a lead pass to position Pierce for an open jumper. I haven't really gotten into play-calling I feel like it takes too much time of the shot-clock most times. If anything I need to learn to better utilize Rondo atleast scoring wise.

Honest question: Anyone else feel like there's no chance you'll be done with this game by the time 2k12 comes out?

I've logged some crazy minutes (at least for me) into this game and I've almost exclusively played MyPlayer. Did 1 Jordan Challenge, barely touched any kind of form of 'regular game'

Ditto. I've stopped watching TV, reading books..basically my day is Wake up, work, work out, cook dinner, hangout with gf for obligatory 1-2 hrs quality time, NBA 2k11.

I've got 50+ games down, and that's not even a whole season.

If you guess 40 mins per game, that's over 30 hours of gameplay.

I agree.  I am still playing but not as plus Fable 3 and Rock Band 3 come out tomorrow plus the start of the NBA season.

I dont know when I will even get to the 50 game mark I am at like 36 or 37 right now.  Have not done any Jordan challenges but I have close to 30 of the Air Jordan sneakers.

I am Evantime but I'm not going to show my face online til I've figured out the controls - switching from Live is a steep curve!

Give me a few months .. years maybe  ;)
Stay classy, San Diego. Hello, Baxter? Baxter, is that you? Bark twice if you're in Milwaukee. Is this Wilt Chamberlain? Have the decency to say something.
