Anyone watching the Wizards and Mavericks? Fun game, good game. Especially for preseason.

John Wall and the Wizards big men are fun to watch. Yi, Blatche and McGee are very long and very quick in the open floor.

watched most of what i missed the first time around on a rerun and i must say they played pretty well for a first game together....at least up until the fourth and that was without Wade

Caught some clips of the game on ESPN. Nice dunks by Lebron and all. Seemed to be really active out there.

I think he'll find it tough going on 26 Oct, though. If he couldn't (or wouldn't) go to the rim with the team we had last year, then it's a lot tougher for him this time around.

And I feel comfortable leaving Bosh 1 - 1 with KG, too. I think we have them covered quite nicely.

No sense in opening a new thread for this, but Lester Hudson knocked down the game-winning shot for the Wiz today.  Pull-up three from the top of the key with about 2.5 seconds on the clock. 

I hope he makes the most of his chance - if he's going to get a chance anywhere, it'll be with Washington.

I wouldn't know what to think if a star player hit a game-winning shot at the end of the first preseason game. That might be a case of taking a preseason game a bit to seriously. The borderline guys should be in by then.

They win 1-2 championships. Probably this year or next, MAYBE the third year. After that, Bosh realizes he would prefer to be a star again and doesn't feel appreciated in Miami for his work. That leads to him being traded. At this point Wade and Lebron are also probably getting tired of playing with each other, and although they may not break up right away, they will eventually.

Theres a reason why superstars don't line up and stack teams and you have never really heard of something like this much in the past. It may be great at first but it just doesn't seem sustainable for a long time from a chemistry/off the court standpoint.

my opinion is they'll win a championship or two also, but i think the current superpowers that are the Celtics and Lakers have to fade before they will win. That said, i think they'll win it in their 3rd year, and also maybe their 4th or 5th year.

i don't see Bosh wanting to be a franchise player again though. He just seems too soft. Wade or Lebron, i can see wanting out. Lebron mainly, because in Miami, Wade will always have one more ring than him.

That being said, i wasnt that impressed with the team, even though wade got injured, as someone stated there team chemistry seemed to stink, the bench expressions and energy were nothing like that of the 2007 celtics... Joel Anthony and Carlos Arroyo are starting, and LeBron holding the ball in his hands playing "Lebron ball" isnt going to work as well with this team as it did with the Cavaliers....I dont know, honestly they didnt look as  good as the Cavaliers the last few seasons, and I know its just the first preseason game, but still.

Miami don't scare me. Stern & his rogue refs scare me. If they pull the same ish like the finals (22ft in 4th Q) last season, Celtics are screwed.

We were outplayed in the 4th quarter. The reffing over most of that game favored the Celtics. It was a very physical game.

I took notice to one thing.  Bosh was getting a lot of iso looks and the Pistons simply guarded him 1 on 1.  There was no appearance of help defense and I've never seen that when Bosh has had the ball in the past.  When Lebron is on the court, a team can't have all their defensive heads turned towards Bosh looking to help.  I think he's going to get a lot of 1 on 1 opportunities with little help on this team and he showed tonight he can be very effective in that role.  As the commentators mentioned, if he's ready to crash the boards hard, he's going to have a hell of a season just there.

really? you've been watching the celtics the last 3 seasons, Bosh was in the Atlantic Division, and you never saw him get defended 1 on 1?

He doesn't look explosive over these first two games. Looks slow, not changing directions as well, leaping ability is weaker than normal.
