Would you guys trade: Steve Smith (CAR) for Danny Woodhead?

My RB's are:
C. Ivory, Jonathan Stewart, Hightower, Best

My WR's are:
D Jax, Mike Thomas, Amendola, R. Williams

(to be fair to myself I started the season with Grant, Portis, Harrison also)

Absolutely not. Smith is and will be a much better WR and performer then Woodhead (even with Carolina's QB issues).

Steve Smith for Woodhead? Absolutely. Smith is easily the better option.

I think he's getting Woodhead not Smith.

Smith is going to play this weekend, Matt Moore is starting. In the first two games with Moore starting Smith had two touchdowns. Moore makes an effort to get him the ball.

Favre is at Green Bay and Ben is at Miami.  I'm leaning towards Ben, but I could really see Favre explode in his old haunt, especially with the extra week of practice with Moss.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I waived Steve Smith, he's useless in my opinion.

Then again, I'm in a 8-team PPR league, so there are plenty of options for WR depth.

My team currently holds Hakeem Nicks, Brandon Lloyd, and Jeremy Maclin. Plus Pierre Garcon (due for an increased role with Collie banged up and Clark gone for the year) and Steven Smith (NYG) so he was obviously expendable.

Either way though, Steve Smith (CAR) is not a guy you can start right now, he's coming off a tough injury, and is dealing with an inexperienced, inconsistent QB.

I happen to like Woodhead's dual eligibility at WR/RB, and he seems to be filling the Kevin Faulk 3rd down back role for the Pats. Lines in the 40/4/40 (rush/reception/Rec yards) might just be par for the course for him in the balance of the year. In PPR leagues that's a 12 point day, and 8 in non-leagues. He's a solid flex/bye week filler in deep formats in my opinion.

Start Ben, no question about it. Whether or not he'll admit it, the elbow tendinitis is bothering Favre, anyone can see it. Ben went out there and didn't miss a beat last week. Miami's D is tough on the deep routes and in the end zone, but they give up a lot over the middle of the field (pst... Grab Heath Miller in any league he's sitting on waiver, great filler for owners who lost Clark, or were already weak at TE) so Ben should still put up yards.

I'll put Ben's line in the ball park of 175-200 yds passing 2 TD, 18 Fantasy points.

Ya, I'd be getting Woodhead in this situation. We're a 12 team leage .5 ppr

That's the way I am leaning, but it is so hard to sit (again) my top two scorers.

McFadden/Bush almost have to be out due to the matchup.  Steelers are pretty dominant against the run.

Tough to sit Lloyd but they're playing the Chargers.  I'm not sure I'd like that matchup.

There's absolutely no way you bench Nicks.  Packers were able to throw the ball on the Vikings in their first matchup so I think Jennings would be a rather safe play there.

Ugh, not the best of options.

I like Jennings and Garcon (Mannings gotta bounce back at some point and put up a ridiculous game), then I'd begrudgingly say Boldin. I think the Jets are likely to stick Revis on Branch, and the Pats will look elsewhere. Rice I can't trust, only his 3rd game back (and who knows what to expect out of favre any week) and Steve Smith is risky too with Clausen at the helm (although he did look decent last week.) It's really a toss up, but Boldin or Smith I'd say are your best bets.
