I'm not firmly entrenched in either camp here. On one hand, I like Baby's hustle, fearlessness, and ability to knock down the jumper. However, on the other hand, you have to also question what his size did on the defensive end. One of LeBron's drives that made the game close in the final two minutes would've certainly been rejected had Jermaine or Perk been on the floor instead.
He also has the benefit of playing with 4 All Stars. Remember how good Austin Croshere looked in the late '90s playing with Mark Jackson, Reggie Miller, Rik Smits, and Dale Davis? Enough for Indy to give him some ridiculous amount he could never live up to.
Not a knock on Baby; he's a good player. But last night's game doesn't annoint him as an All Star.
