There are good stories to tell here about how each of these teams has surprised people.

But I've got to go with the KC Chiefs.  Great start by them.
Celtics fan for life.

I agree with that.  Even as a Bears fan, I figured they'd lose at least one to Dallas or Green Bay.  KC, though, has shocked everyone.

I think Charlie Weiss has proven that as a college head football coach he is good but not excellent and as a NFL coordinator he is as good as they come

Romeo Crennel is a heck of a coordinator, too.  The Pats' defense would look a lot better with him at the reigns.

The Chiefs shocked me, but the Bears have shocked me more. I guess I was too down on my team but I thought with their offensive line issues that Martz's offense wouldn't work at all.

Even taking a second look I think the Bears are a more surprising team, simply because they played two good teams in my opinion. Meanwhile the Chiefs have only played one good team in the Chargers, and I'm down on them compared to last year due to all the A.J. Smith/Vincent Jackson/McNeil crap going on.

I'm interested in what both teams do in the next two games. Both are on the road for two weeks, but the Bears have much easier match ups. Giants and Panthers as compared to the Colts and the Texans.

My Bears better pile up the wins by week 9 because after that the face a lot of tough games (with the Lions thrown in on the Road being their easiest foe)

Dont get me wrong nobody like Romeo more than me, I dont think its any coincidence that the pats were the top team in the league for several years with them in control of the offense and defense.

But man has the bears been interresting to watch, especialy on defense.. Julius Peppers especialy is such a joy to watch

I would say Chicago because they seemed to have the toughest start to the season with games against Dallas and Green Bay.  While Dallas started off slow, the Packers looked great through 2 games.

I think the hype around the Chiefs might be a little premature.  They beat a wildly inconsistent Chargers team, and two bad teams in the Browns and 49ers.  They're on the road against the Colts and Texans for games 4 and 5.  They'll be 3-2 after that.

Also, the Steelers haven't had that tough of a start, and with all the talk about Big Ben being out, that team is still all about defense.  So I'm not that surprised by their 3-0 start.

Most people are gonna say the Chiefs 'cause of their history of sucking, but the Bears have had a tougher schedule in my opinion, so they've surprised me.

The more that i think about it.  The Bears aren't even 3-0... I dont care what the NFL says, they lost to Detroit.  I think that automatically takes them out of the running here.

Boo!

Objections related to the NFL's stupid rules seem weird coming from a Pats fan.  You sound like one of those Raiders fans calling for the Patriots to be stripped of their Super Bowl victory.

Dont you know that hypocrisy comes with the territory of being a sports fan Roy... Just wait till Tommy has to start rooting for Shaq.  How many 3 second calls do you think he will be trying to get on shaq this year?
