I know it's very early but I know im not in the minority on this one. It seems as though, if the team is doing great or bad, for some reason I still anticipate them making a move at the deadline lol..   So who would we have  available? Bradley? Baby? Perk? And what position could we look to fill. Which has me thinking is it possible we can include bradley &  Perk in a 3 way with Melo and us landing Kevin Martin?

The largest expiring contracts are Perkins $4.4 million and Davis at $3.3 million.  Nate Robinson makes $4.2 million and is probably the most expendable, depending on how Bradley, Wafer, and West pan out.

A trade that would work cap-wise would be something like Robinson plus filler like Wafer and Harangody for a tall wing who can play SF with a couple of years left on a MLE contract.

A lot is going to depend on the development of some of the young guys.

Inparticular Harangody, if Luke really shows something this year and looks like he'll be very capable of filling Big baby's minutes, I really think Shrek will be on the chopping block. That 3.3 million expiring will be a nice asset in trade, especially since the same is not only getting an expiring deal, but a good contributing rotation player as well.

Much as I'd hate to see him go, he's the best card Danny has to play to get some added depth at wing. This is all assuming of course that Luke proves capable of filling into his role as the back up 4.

I have to agree with LooseCannon. The most likely trade assets are Perk, Davis and Nate. More so Nate and baby because they will be healthy and showing off their skills and are bench players that are easily replaceable.

Agreed.  for the next 2 years we have 3 big bodies under contract that could man the C and PF positions in KG, JO and Shaq.  I'd be surprised if both BBD and Perk were moved but if Danny can get an all-star (or borderline one) to pair with Rondo going forward, I think that Danny will make that move.  If Erden and/or Luke show an ability to contribute, I'd be stunned if BBD or Perk (particularly BBD) aren't traded this year.

Throw in Nate's deal as an option with West able to cover the PG spot (and especially if Bradley looks like a contributor) and he's a good option to go as well.

A combo of BBD, Nate and Wafer/Daniels could land a pretty solid backup 2/3 for the late season and playoffs.

I don't think we're going to be in the market for a superstar; however, if Perk can heal and/or Harangody or Erden can prove capable of playing 10-15 per game, BBD might be expendable come the trade deadline to help us land a big wing player.  Now of course those things may not happen or Marquis may play so well that the point is moot.  However, I do think he's our biggest chip.

Nate is most likely to be traded, IMHO, (followed by Daniels) and he should be somewhat desirable.  Dynamic scorer, signed for 2 years at reasonable money. I feel that Daniels and Nate were resigned as much for their trade-ability as for their contributions to the team.

The signings of West and Wafer (and the potential development of Bradley) give Ainge a chance to replace Nate/Finley's playoff roles from within and then use Nate/Daniels in a trade to replace/upgrade TA's role.

I'd like to think that Gody's potential to combine Scal-like floor-stretching and defensive smarts with actual rebounding ability could also push Baby onto the trade platform.

Perk is one more option, and his salary could make our potential trade package much bigger (Nate + Daniels + Baby + Perk = $14.2 mil), but it would be a shame to trade such a good big as an expiring.

The best potential trade I can think of is:

Nate + Daniels for J.R. Smith + Renaldo Balkman.  Smith is a classic Ainge midseason buy - troubled, talented and expiring.  The option to use JR with the starters when Ray goes cold (one of the main reasons for our playoff defeats in the past 3 postseasons) without a drop-off in offensive potency would do wonders for our offense.  Balkman would make a solid situational defender and excellent rebounder in spot minutes.

2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

Depending on how chemistry and other things play out I think we have a few assets. It all depends who is available at the deadline.

Baby and Perkins I feel like are the most likely to go. Robinson and Daniels come next in line. I wouldnt be surprised to see Perk, Baby, and Daniels be traded for a young athletic wing to replace Ray in the starting 5... Heck to tell you the truth I wouldnt be surprised to see Ray traded at the deadline.

Right now I would be calling Denver offering Ray, Baby, Perkins, Daniels for Melo and Smith. Denver might not be able to get a much better offer than that. I know Pierce at sg or playing alongside the similar Melo doesnt make too much sense but with Melo and Rondo as our future we'd be in good shape.

The games in november and december will show if Delonte/Bradley/Wafer can be the answer to backup guard positions. Also, the Perkins rehab and the O'Neals performance, and even Gody/Erden minutes will show if the inside game is well covered.

The most likely players to be traded, in my opinion, will be Shrek and Donkey. Daniels is (by now) the only backup to Pierce. If the backup guard positions and the bigs rotation are as good as they seem on paper, both Davis and Robinson could be expendable. They also seem to have more trade value than the rest of the bench. And probably the C's will extend Perk at a very reasonable prize, so trading him wouldn't make sense.

Shrek and Donkey could bring (on paper) JR Smith+Balkman, or Josh Howard+Yi, or even better (in my dreams) Francisco Garcia+Jason Thompson... I hope Danny keeps the team together to try to win it all on June, and maybe he can make different moves around draft day. We'll see.

Danny has worked hard to put together a really talented roster, let's enjoy the trip.
