I didn't know it was a firing, to be honest.

It may not have been a firing.  Instead, it could be a good faith disagreement regarding his contract.  (I believe all of Doc's assistants were on one-year deals.)

I'd love for Chief to pass down that Spin Move of his to Perk:

Terrible news. Now who will guide Semih? He has no back to basket game right now. And who will help Perk in his rehabilitation? Frankly, this sucks.

I know someone mentioned this as a joke but I think Scal will come on as a coach. We don't really need a big man coach right now and I think Scal would like to stick with the team.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that we don't need a big man coach -- BBD could use some work, Erden is a project, etc. -- but I also don't think it's time to go into panic mode.

I'd be fine with Chief also, but I hope the results of teams rebounding, injuries to the big men, or Sheed have nothing to do with why Cliff is leaving. I mean I'm just speculating unexcused possibilities here. I know he will be in high demand.
