KG almost has 18,000 blocks!?!?!  ;D

I'm assuming that's 1,800.

Yea I'm definitely excited for him to be the all-time leader.

I think the best milestone to watch being chased this year is the C's expanding on their league-leading total of championships to 18.   :D

a bit too early on this perhaps but seeing Rondo have another season where he sets another C's franchise record for assists and hopefully season

Lol you know how many blocks a game he would have to average to have 18,000.

He would be the greatest defensive player of all time!

I believe that if KG gets to 20,000pts/10,000reb/5,000ast, he will be one of only three players to do so - the others being Malone and Kareem.

He will be the only player in history with those numbers and +1500 in both steals and blocks. Malone has too few blocks, and Kareem has too few steals.

It will be tough for him to get 281 ast this year, though.

I'd say you should specify which Malone you mean, but I don't think anyone that watched Moses play would think he was a 5000 assist guy.

I'm optimistic and think he'll be close on assists-->being able to dump passes into JO and Shaq around the basket will lead to buckets that Perk would otherwise miss or fumble away.

If scoring an offensive putback after your own missed shot counted as an assist (to yourself), Moses would be top 10 all time.

In this article from the NBA blog 'Ball-Don't-Lie' Shaquille O'Neal states that he is only 2,000 points shy of surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the all-time scoring title:

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ball_dont_lie/post/According-to-Shaquille-O-Neal-he-s-still-dominan?urn=nba-267962#remaining-content

^While the majority of the article pejoratively questions whether 'The Big Diesel' has put in enough work this summer to be an impact with the Celtics for an entire season, or if he'll even be available for every game this up-coming season I found it strange that they didn't point out the fact that Shaq is over 10,000 points short of surpassing Kareem in the all-time scoring category.

Shaq has scored 28,255 points so far in his 19 year NBA career. Kareem, on the other hand has scored a seemingly insurmountable 38,387 points. In fact, even if Shaq combined his career points with Rajon Rondo's (3,378), Delonte West's (3,642) and Kendrick Perkins (2,830) he would still be 282 points short of equaling Kareem's record.

Now I'm by no means trying to undermine 'The Original Superman's' legacy as perhaps the most dominant center in the history of the game in any way, shape or form. However, in this case at least he might want to re-look at his stats, lol.
