Smart moves for the Bulls:
Joakim Noah is playing like a legitimate all-star, putting up 16.5 ppg and leading the league in rebounding per contest, plus he seems to have gotten his fouling under control, managing to average almost 40 minutes per contest.
Omer Asik doesn't suck
Landry Clark Fields has proven he's got the chops to not only be a legitimate NBA player, but a decent starter in a pinch. Call him this years' Wes Matthews.
"Meh" things about the Bulls:
LeBron James looks like LeBron James and acts like LeBron James.
Brandon Jennings has been playing about as well as he did last season. Not a huge amount of improvement, but at least he's shooting over 40% from the field now, and his assists and rebounds are up.
Tony Allen doesn't look worse, but he doesn't look very smart for taking Memphis's money and he's already registered a CD-DNP or two.
Bad things for the Bulls:
Ilyasova is making Roy and Nick look pretty smart right now. He hasn't improved at all, which is kind of a "meh" thing, and he's also solidly behind LRMAM and Drew Gooden on Milwaukee's depth chart.
Freakin Mike Miller.
Freakin Von Wafer.
Gani Lawal has not seen minute 1 on an NBA floor.
Amundson has been hurt.
Interesting storyline: How long until Joakim Noah says something derogatory about LeBron James? One of my main theories regarding my team (which nobody bought anyways, but I believed) was the Noah would be a good influence on LeBron, helping to limit his inner diva and stay focused, just play ball. If Dywane Wade can't calm him down, Noah doesn't have a shot.
Based on their play so far, here is my rotation:
Jennings/Maynor
Landry Fields/Tony Allen/Von Wafer
LeBron James/Tony Allen/Landry Fields
Ilyasova/Gani Lawal
Joakim Noah/Omer Asik
We're paper thin until Amundson and Miller are back, and thats not a good thing considering we're projected to win the regular season.
