weeeeeelllllll.....this is boring.

Is it just me or are things being drawn out a lot farther this year with a ton of down time in between?

By the time the voting starts is anyone going to care anymore?

I hope though I have to say with classes starting(I am going back to school online) and business, I'm not so sure how much time I'm going to have to invest in this much more.

Last year vs. this year:

2009: Draft starts July 20, voting ends August 26

2010: Draft starts August 16, voting ends September 27

The draft has lasted a bit longer this year, due in part to a recognition that participation drops off a lot on Fridays and holidays.  

I don't think it's a surprise that GMs aren't parked in front of CelticsBlog on Labor Day weekend.  I wouldn't imagine that there would be a lot of activity tomorrow, either, which is why things resume on Tuesday.

Eh...  the first year we did this, it was one *team* per day.  I think it's fair to give every division its day in the sun.

I think maybe next year we could start it earlier, to wrap up before Labor Day.  I think this year, the season extended longer (until the Finals, rather than the Eastern Semis), free agency seemed to extend later, etc., and there was a burnout factor amongst the staff after losing to the Lakers.  That meant we started the draft later, and I think due to that we ran into Labor Day, the new school year, etc.

Just came across this quote that I thought I'd underline remembering a Bryant versus Wade debate that happened early on.

but so does garnett, and that didn't stop father time from screwing with him either.

Both years Garnett's been healthy with a team around him he's been to the finals too.

Still Kobe's effectiveness has been on a straight linear decline for three years now. He might not have the catastrophic injury like KG did, but he's not going to maintain his level of performance.
