SherrodbCSN    "He's just been a good mentor to me. Whenever I need help with something, I make sure I go to him and ask him."-Durant on @RajonRondo.

Pretty sick, I love KD so to hear him say that makes me love rondo that much more lol
Andy Bernard doesnt lose constests. He wins them, or he quits them because they're unfair.

Durant has a while before he becomes a FA.

That sounds like another good reason for them to keep Rondo for the final roster. He is someone who learns quickly and who has a good head for the game. I imagine that can really help with unfamiliar zone defending.

How does it feel to be a party pooper?  ::)

Just imagine if Durantula had the same mentoring Rondo got from the big3  :o I hope he can get in touch with Pierce and steal a trick of two from the captain. Pierce footwork is the best or second best to Kobe.

Love the Durantula.

I hope he sinks his recruting hooks in Durant.   He would be nice to have on the C's if he can learn to play D.

The more I read about Durant, the more I love what he is about. He is obsessed with basketball and he really loves his teammates. I dont think he would ever leave but the team he plays for is not in great shape financially. IF something ever happened where they just couldnt sign players to compete, you would think Durant would want to move. Seems like we would have an inside track of sorts to sign him.

I suspect he's talking about defense seeing as how he was voted the best defensive PG in the league.  Durant seems like a heady guy and with Rondo's off the chart BBIQ I can see where players would gravitate towards him.  Great players don't concern themselves with FT% when they are looking more at wins and losses.  That's more of a 'fan' thing.

Durant needs a lot of work on defense so in that respect if he's as heady a player as I think it only makes sense.

Rondo does a great job of running our offense. He does a great job of repositioning players to get the matchup he wants and exploiting it. He probably knows more about the nuances of good offensive play than most of the players in the league.

Quite a few shots at Durant's defense, but OKC is a good defensive team.

I'm repeatedly amazed at all the anecdotes that show how small Durant's ego is.

Hearing a good story like this is refreshing from some of the bad things we read/hear with other players around the league.Rarely do we hear about players from different franchises giving someone a hand or advice these days. Its usually me,me,me...way to go Rondo.

You don't hear too much talk like this from superstars.  Durant is definitely a guy one can root for.

No doubt I didn't mean to slight his offensive skills with regard to running a team.  He has that skill over most of the PGs in the league as well.  I just wanted to specify the fact that he excels on the defensive side of the ball in relation to one of the areas that KD needs to enhance.

Kevin Durant is the torch bearer for the NBA. Russell, Magic, Bird, Jordan, KG, Duncan, Durant...

He has the rare combination of elite talent with a world class head on his shoulders. Down to earth kid who approaches the game with fire, class and character; those are the marks of the true superstar in the league.

You won't find "all" of those qualities in LeBron, Wade, Bosh, Kobe, Stoudemire, etc..

But you'll find them all in Durant.
