Was just on conference call with Ainge and the media and I asked him about the Sheed situation and he said that situation "should be resolved soon." and later clarified "before training camp" and went so far as to say "shortly"From his words and tone it sounds like it will happen in the next few days.he said that he's happy with the team as is but may try to add another perimeter player and it will most likely be via a vet. minimum signing.

I think that's a mistake.
Interesting. I wonder if that means a trade, or just a simple filing of paperwork.
I predict that we sign Hughes and buy out Sheed - not the ideal situation, but oh well

Cash and a 2nd rounder to the other team. Sheed retires. Roster spot created, vet min player (Hughes or other) signed. Trade exception to be used in February, when we know what the team's real needs are. That's my prediction, at least.

There's not many out there.

Is Cleveland enough under the cap right now to allow for a swap of Sheed for Anthony Parker?Would so much rather have Parker over Hughes, Stackhouse, or just about any other FA wing still on the market.
