DEN sends Drew Gooden, Terrance Willimas
LAL sends Marcus Thornton, 13.5

This pick should be 13.12 not 13.5 --- i beg the commish's forgiveness on my sloppy typing  ;D

GC just did this trade to upset me. It would've worked too expect that I think Denver overpaid. (I'm also a big T-Will fan.)

WW --- it's not like I have Thornton in a keeper league or anything  ;) ;D

We'll admit to overpaying just a little here, which you sometmes have to do.

Our weakness was outside shooting and Thornton is very good young shooter/scorer to go alongside Westbrook. As WW will tell ya Thornton is a 20ppg scorer next year.

We love TWill, and I think he has a chance to turn into a legit 18/6/6 guy, but with Ariza, Childress, Brewer and our pick in the 13th round we could sacrifice a wing to upgrade at the 2 spot with offensive firepower/shooting.

The development in camp that let this happen was that Gibson actually beat out Gooden for the starting PF job, mainly with his defense. We think we can make up some size with a few options at 13.5... Milicic has played well in camp so we're also comfortable playing him 5-10 mins alongside Duncan each night.

Quote
Yooouur 2010-11 Denver Nuggets:
PG: Russell Westbrook, Steve Blake
SG: Marcus Thornton, Ronnie Brewer
SF: Tervor Ariza, Josh Childress
PF: Taj Gibson, James Singleton
C:  Tim Duncan, Darko Milicic

Coach: Larry Brown
I very much like what you've done with your roster. Excellent trade.

Marcus Thornton is a brilliant fit on this team. They need scoring and shooting and he can supply both. You have two very talented defenders on either side of him in Westbrook and Ariza + you have Ronnie Brewer playing behind him who gives you a completely different weapon to throw at opponents when needed. A great complement to Thornton.

Also, Blake and Childress to provide more quality depth on the perimeter.

I like what your big man rotation brings to the table defensively and on the glass + you have the great Tim Duncan to run your offense through in the halfcourt.

A lovely mix of players who complement one another very well.

5 TPs for a pick

Any pick

PM me.

I'll give someone 5 TP's immediately for a Pick. Nick has to finance his TP's and pay them out over time. When you deal with IP, you're dealing straight cash, baby.

I'm also buying picks for 5 TP each.

And I can't count well. It's likely you get 6 or 7 when it's all said and done. It'll be our little secret.

Why trust the guy who needs to get 4 of his buddies together (and at what cost? All I'm saying is...we've got to follow the money. Where is this help coming from? Who is providing it? Who is to say Nick isn't in a secret TP laundering scam, involving Nigerian Princes and Luc Ricard Mbah A Moute?)?

Why go to a guy who needs to finance a deal with you can go directly to the guy who prints the money?

Not a terrible turnout considering the action the later rounds has seen in past years.  I think decreasing the number of rounds is a good thing.

I'll give it to you anyways.

Domalise's on Annunciation. Don't remember the cross-street.

http://www.roadfood.com/Restaurant/Reviews/141/domilises-poboys

The place is actually the bottom floor of the owners' house. Tons of candid pictures of celebs on the wall, including the hometown Mannings and John Goodman.

A half and half (oyster and shrimp), fully dressed, with a Dixie beer. One of the best meals I've ever had.

Granted, post-BP, I hear that seafood from the Gulf is a dicey proposition these days. So who knows if the half-and-half is even on the menu.

NPR's show "American Roots" (I think) did a 20 minute piece on the greatest tragedy in New Orleans since Katrina.

"The Death Of The Po-Boy"

Edit: I'm wrong, its "State Of The Reunion", and here is alink to hear the show:

I can't think of a more horrific double-whammy for the Gulf States and NOLA in particular than Katrina and the BP disaster.

Here in Portland, we love our cart food. Cheap, fresh, authentic, and [dang] tasty. I've seen a half dozen po-boy stands in the areas of the city when I work and live. The one a mere 8 blocks from my house serves up fantastic po-boys and etouffe.
