With the 5th pick in the 9th round, the Chicago Bulls select:

My backup point guard: Eric Maynor

i thought about him, was next on my board, but have a young PG in Westbrook (as does CHI in Jennings). Solid backup.

Worked for OKC. ;)

The thought did enter my mind. Maynor is a good defensive pg pass first pg with a low turnover rate and a average shot. He's not an incredible athlete but he can man the point when Jennings is sitting for 18-20 mins per game. I would've rather had Steve Blake here, but Tony Allen came first.

With the 7th pick of the 9th round, via trade, The New York Knicks select Paul George

I feel like I didn't know enough about him to really gauge his talent.

You've got to wait for trades to be confirmed.  As of right now, Toronto still owns that pick, so they're the only ones who can take a player.  (Presumably, they have no problem taking George for you.)

I'm sorry, I got a message saying that the trade was confirmed, maybe I misinterpreted it.

We sent in the trade.

If it has not been received then we will indeed draft Paul George (AND KEEP HIM , just to spite OCF  ;D...kidding)

is it all good?
Yup

It's gotta be confirmed by either Fafnir or myself (i.e., posted in the thread).

Anyway, I just received the trade from Redz.

Toronto trades:  9.7

NY trades: 9.26, 11.26

The Paul George pick stands.

Eric Bledsoe

I don't know how much PG he'll play in the pros. Him and ____ _______ were very similar coming into the draft this year.

I heard he looked very good against John Wall in their summer league game. BTW what pick was that?

Don't get me wrong, if Bledsoe is a legit PG prospect (which his metrics, esp his passing do not suggest, but that was playing with Wall) he's a future starter in the league. Great defensive ceiling.

Back before "The Trade" i thought seriously about making him my starting PG. Upon more reading I decided I couldn't risk that.

I think he's a real good fit behind Duhon.

With the 10th pick in the 9th round the Orlando Magic select the man who's about to take Darko's starting job, Nikola Pekovic.
