No way should Sloan had fallen to 12.

I had to triple check it.

I figured he'd go top 3 at worst.

Sloan for a team of the future?

I know he gets the most out of his players, but I wonder how he'll do with a bunch of younguns.

Ricky Rubio will drive him batty, I think.

To wrap up Round 7 of the draft, the Commissioner's Office is forced to make another selection for the Sacramento Kings.

With the 2nd pick in the 7th round, the Kings select Eric Dampier.

C: Dampier / Bargnani
PF: Boozer
SF: Lewis / Jefferson
SG: Garcia
PG: Rose

Sloan has been at it this since 1988 developing players and establishing a culture of winning year after year. He gets the most out of basically anything that gets handed to him. But yeah, on the flip side, he is getting older and probably isn't as patient as he was 15 years ago.

I think Sloan will get the most of pretty much any team. I'm not sure his PG system would fit Rubio though.

As I told Rondo, I don't know how he allowed Sloan to slip past him. Sloan managing that veteran bunch in Milwaukee would have been a PERFECT fit and maybe might have carried him into the Finals.

Sloan going 12th in the coaches selections might be one of the best value picks in the entire CB Draft.

I would like to file a complaint with the commissioners office, making decisions negating two of my top 4 remaining picks Ryan Gomes and Erick Dampier.  ??? >:(

If anybody would like to take over a team at this late stage in the game, the Sacramento Kings are once again available.  Their GM PM'd us this afternoon and stepped down.

The team:

C: Dampier / Bargnani
PF: Boozer
SF: Lewis / Jefferson
SG: Garcia
PG: Rose

I wouldn't have had him top three, but definitely near the top.

The Seattle Supersonics are thrilled with the moves they made today, including nabbing a starting calibre PG with the 30th pick this round in Chris Duhon. We are also thrilled to have the best Big rotation in the entire CBNBA!

Also, We have changed our mascot:

Look at that mustache; was there ever any doubt that the New Orleans Buccaneers would hire Stan Van Gundy to be the team's next head coach?

Quote
"He's like no other coach I've worked with," said assistant coach Brendan Malone, who has worked with the best since he broke in with the Chuck Daly Pistons. "Very bright, very prepared, and he has an assistant's mentality as far as preparation and attention to detail. But you can argue all night with him, because he's in the trenches as much as the assistants are - that's rare."
