Unless they were really concerned about his attitude, the C's would do this in a fraction of a second.  Regardless of need, it is a dramatic upgrade in talent.  It wouldn't stop them from getting a SF, but they wouldn't pass up something like this if it fell in their lap.

Unfortunately, Washington wouldn't answer the phone for an offer like this.  Even with the injury, Blatche's value is the highest its ever been, and he looked like a potential superstar at the end of last year.  There is absolutely zero chance they trade him for an undersized backup PF.

I actually think they will be using him as part of a package to get Arenas off the books.

Totally agree...

Just because this trade works in NBA 2k10 does not mean that it will work in real life.

get Arenas off the books perhaps, but they need to get something in return. maybe something along the lines of this:

Pistons get Arenas and Blatche

Celtics get Tayshaun Prince

Wizards get Rip, Bradley, our expiring expendables

the Wiz have cap space though, so i dont know if they'll bite on this. but at least they get Bradley (to play defense and backup Wall) and a scorer who won't demand the ball in Rip. we get our defensive wing. Pistons get Arenas and Blatche, both of who can start for them immediately while moving CV3 to SF and clearing their logjam at SG. seems to make sense for all involved. i don't know where that leaves Stuckey though

Pipe dream. Noway we trade a gravity-restrained PF for a 20-10-5 guy on a bad team. Blatche would excel here, probably double BBD's career stats, but Davis couldn't do the same in Washington. He'd be lucky to post a double double, not including his layups getting stuffed
Can't stop, Rondo!

Terrible trade.

Blatche, while much more talented then Davis, is to immature for this team.  He had major issues coming off the bench in DC.  In Boston, he would be buried much deeper.  He can not handle it.

Heck, he couldn't handle the Coach telling him to play defense when he was starting.

Hey sweet lets trade our only back up PF for another center...Especially one who is young, unproven, and a headcase. Great idea!
