Basically, Larry Hughes is Tony Allen without the defense.

and without the dunking ability.

What good is he to us? I would rather have Scal.

TP from me. I'd much rather have Scal as well. He can back up the 3, 4, or 5, is 6'9, defends well, and can hit the corner three. As long as he doesn't try to dribble-drive, he knows his role and makes the right play. He knows he is no higher than #12 or 13 on the depth chart and is a good locker-room guy who already knows the system. From my perspective, it is a no-brainer between those two at this point in their respective careers. Scal all the way. The only plus to bringing in Hughes over Scal would be that I wouldn't have to hear those annoying Scal chants anymore.
“Being a Celtic is, every decision you make is about the team. Every cut you make is about the team. Every pass you make is about the team. You take yourself out of it. It’s not for everyone. If you don’t want to win, don’t want to play team basketball, and it’s more about you then you’re probably not a Celtic." Doc 2010

Much better offensive player than TA would ever dream of being but, as I mentioned before I don't think he adds much more than a healthy Von Wafer or Daniels. I wouldn't be upset if he signed for vet min but, I would prefer no more signings.
