http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_NBA_All-Star_Game

Ray Allen Paul Pierce Kevin Garnett Shaq O'Neal Jermaine O'neal and Rasheed Wallace were all-stars in 2006.  If somebody said 5 years ago they would all be on the same team, you would think they just smoked a big bowl of stupid..the celtics currently have 5-6 hall of famers on the same team now!!

ps. Mcgrady, and Iverson were also on 2006 all stars..maybe they will join too, vet min contracts!
Pick 2 Heat:
Pg: Jennings/Vasquez
Sg: Wade/R. Allen/Rivers
SF: Lebron/M. Williams
PF: Bosh/Humphries
C: B. Lopez/Dalembert/Anthony

we possibly just used the Vet on Shaq, so we most likely will have no money to sign AI or TMac, unless we can get both from Sheed's contract

personally we do not need AI, waste of money, we already have that in Nate and Bradley,

TMac on the other hand I might risk, but definitely not worth Sheed's contract...at this point I will trade Sheed's contract in return for another player to come with TMac in a S&T...

I'd consider TMAC but Iverson would be useless.

You can hand out an unlimited number of vet min. contract. Not that i want either of them. But nothings stopping us from signing them.

I think TMac is labeled for Chicago, but he'd be good for a minimum flyer.  A sign and trade with Sheed's contract can't work since the minimum length of a sign and traded deal is 3 year and we do not want ANYBODY for longer than 2 (unless it is a future core guy - good luck with that).

While this team is now dirt old - it is hard to fault Ainge's strategy.  First, there is a clear succession plan in place - and given the uncertainty coming in - this was about as good as they could do.  This team has a chance (not favored, but a chance) to contend for 2 more seasons and then rebuild on our terms.  I also think (though not predicting) that Avery Bradley could be a really special guy (he profiles nicely as the sort that will do well in the NBA).
