Oh and once the player roster is locked in tonight I'm going to run a Celtics trivia question for the honor of GMing the greatest NBA franchise in history.

That'd be around 10:00 my time, CDT (IP  :P).

After that I'll announce who has what team, then the draft slots will be announced tomorrow at 8:00 CDT. I'll do it lottery style like Dons since people enjoyed that.

Please don't send me trades right away though, we'll be having a dead period to finalize rules and tiebreakers first. I don't want a bunch of PMs to sort through while trying to hash those out.

Faf -- i'm assuming these times and all times moving forward are A.M.?

Also a reminder that everyone should toss TPs to Fafnir throughout the draft --- being commish is an often thankless job.

Naw it'll be PM.

I set the deadline for people teaming up for purposes of being awarded a team at 10 PM tonight.

People can still take on Co-GMs but for purposes of handing out the open franchises that's the deadline.

The Indiana Pacers would like to announce the hiring of Ohio Celtics Fan as our Assistant General Manager.

His first act of duty will be a 22 page thesis on why I shouldn't pick Monta Ellis in the first round again.

I just about died when I saw this... haha. Thesis is underway but I'm afraid I can't seem to move away from the word "chucker"...

Boxers are willing to take on a co-GM. Duties will be the following:

1. Assisting in drafting strategies.
2. Assisting in the procurement of trades that would make Red Auerbach proud.
3. Assisting in the promotion of the team
4. Making selections when I am not available
5. Keeping me from making an ass of myself.

Qualifications:

1. Excellent overall NBA knowledge
2. Proficiency in MS Excel(I do all my draft board stuff in Excel).
3. Ability to exchange cell phone numbers to talk about trades if either of us are off line and we need to close a deal.
4. Love of all things Boxer(although if you are a dog lover that will be good enough).
5. Ability to actually keep me from making an ass of myself.

PM me if this is acceptable. The deadline looms.

Is it considered tampering if I've already been in contact with LeBron, Wade, Howard and Paul about taking their collective talents to my as of yet to be assigned franchise?  ;D ;D

If you end up with the Timberwolves will it make a difference if you were tampering?

Someone should get Daniel Tosh to eat a whole jar of that.
