Destinations for Delonte?

He could easily start in Charlotte, Indiana or Miami.

Phoenix had wanted West included in the O'Neal deal.
That is a great list right there. I think they are three frontrunners.

Miami would be in the lead if they were interested and they should be. Delonte West would be a major upgrade for them.

Miami would be the perfect fit if the reports are not true and Delonte had not gotten frisky with LeCon's momma lol.

Lakers have Fisher and Blake, can't see them signing Delonte. Suns have Nash and Dragic, again don't see it. Miami, doesn't LeBron hate him for umm you know.

Well, Who acknowledged up front that Atlanta, Los Angeles and Portland will all likely pass. But it's hard to argue that West wouldn't be a great fit in any of those three backcourts.

As for Phoenix, I'm just recalling that they had a strong interest not long ago - you're right Dragic has made huge strides since. (And Kerr is out.) Still maybe Delonte makes sense as a ball handling two guard/Barbosa replacement? He'd also work as injury insurance. Besides Nash loves shooters and shooters love Nash.

I don't give any credence to the Gloria James rumors. Would West signing with the Heat, ahem, put them to bed?

Made me laugh out loud...

But yes, that would end that rumor for good!

It could have been beautiful. Delonte and Roy in the backcourt. Batum on the wing. Aldridge and Oden in the paint.

Or they could have kept Blake who I thought was great for them.

I hope Boston signs him.  He can play along side Nate or Rondo.

And imagine the playoff trash talk with Lebron.

haha yeah talk about bad blood. I would imagine it would be pretty hard for Lebron to keep those personal issues off the court. Assuming the rumors are true.

True or not true, the calls from the crowd will be interesting.

And he eats his own boogers. I seen it. Allegedly. That is all. Wire hanger."

I understand that cutting Delonte saves money, but is he really that bad of an egg that the Wolves don’t even want him? Come on!

Excellent trade for Minnesota ... getting out from underneath that awful Ryan Hollins contract + moving Ramon Sessions who was a poor fit and superfluous to requirements. Nice cap flexibility in return.

No idea what the heck Cleveland think they are doing though. It would be a good trade if they followed this up by dumping Mo Williams and then turned the side over to Ramon Sessions but I'm not expecting that to happen.
They have to dump Mo Williams now, asap.

Did you read the article about Rashad McCants?

All you need is to have a attitude problem to get black listed...Delonte West is on house arrest.

A vet team, with solid leadership..that's a place for Delonte. A rebuilding team with impressionable (alleged) cornerstones...I think Kahn is kinda rightly treating Delonte like the plague.

I think part of the matter is that on a team that isn't going to make the playoffs, paying Delonte West 5 million a year to win, at best, an extra game or two, really wasn't worth it.

Now for us, an extra game or two could be the difference between #18 or not (see this year); but it's a different story with them.

I would not touch him with a 10 foot pole.. even though we might think we know abit about whats going on in the world of West.. i doubt it even scratches the surface of his problems.

He's a potential problem we dont need.

Eh.  All we can give him is the minimum.  While I'd prefer us to look elsewhere, we're not a bunch of impressionable college kids here.  If they sign him and he causes a problem, it won't spread.  Worst case we cut him.

I think Kahn is treating Delonte like the ost cutting, salary cap lowering $4.5 million non-guaranteed contract that he is. I don't think he viewed West in any other way than that. He had too many players on his roster to his liking and his salary was too high. Delonte was cap relief, no more, no less.

Cleveland trades Delonte West and Sebastian Telfair to Minnesota for Ramon Sessions, Ryan Hollins and a draft pick, a source told Y! Sports.

Well there most likely goes our chance of getting Delonte for the people that wanted him unless he gets bought out.

I don't think that many people wanted Delonte back, especially since we don't have a need for him now.  I also don't think Danny has any interest.  I'd be surprised if Danny is interested.

If Danny has an interest in House, he has a much greater interest in West, a much better all around player.  House gives us nothing that Nate won't provide.  Delonte gives us a real decent back-up to Ray Allen. That way Marquis can focus on spelling for Pierce. a bench of BBD, West, Nate, and Marquis, to play along with Jermaine, Garnett or Perk (when he gets healthy) is solid.  You need at least 2 good 3 point shooters on the court at all times to stretch the defense; right now we can't provide a bench that does that. And playing Eddie with Nate obviously would be a defensive nightmare.

Just because he has interest in House, doesn't mean he has interest in Delonte.  You're forgetting that House isn't crazy, Delonte is.  I hope someone else picks him up so we can stop hearing about him.
