Vet min? I think he would be a great addition to the SG spot. Defense is a little slower now that he is older but he is a good veteran presense, smart player, and good scorer. I bet he can make more money somewhere else however...

  • Another undersized Celtic...
Larry Hughes has had ONE season when he avg 45% or better from the field, as a shooting guard...He had to take and miss a lot of shots to score points, and has never, not even once played a full season. He is good from the line, and every leap year has an okay 3pt%, but just okay. This is really not the guy we want.

Who said DA was interested in him? Sounds like Larry wants to play for only one of 4 teams.

So he wants to go to one of three Ivy League NBA teams--and the Bobcats are his safety team?

I think the Heat may possibly be interested in him as a deep bench guy, considering they need to sign a lot of guys at the vet min, but I can't believe the celtics and the lakers are after this guy. The bobcats sounds about right.

As some of these names come up, I'm wishing we still had TA. Maybe we wind up getting him back.

I mean, where do you start?  He can't play defense, he's a poor shooter and he can't play the 3...and he's old.  Classic case of somebody who scored points because SOMEBODY has to get them, even on the losing team.  Rolaids, please.

I would rather keep one of the Summer League kids as wing. At least then we would understand the sub par perfomance and chalk it up to inexperience.

Hughes is a downgrade from Finley, Keep Michael instead.

Beggars can't be choosers.  We literally have no back-up wings on the roster unless you generously count Bradley as a 2 or assume Gaffney is going to stick around as a 3.

He can shoot 3s a little, run an occasional pick and roll and roam the passing lanes.
2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

Well I guess Doc would actually play him , unlike rookies.

If he joins the team, I will hope he can perform, but I really feel like we're scraping the bottom of the barrel.

USE SHEED'S CONTRACT IN A S&T FOR A LEGIT BACK-UP WING.

I hope he signs with the Heat. The less shooting they have at the wings the better things are for us. Then we can just pack the paint since Miller and Chalmers would be there only shooters.
