Great price for Nate.  And we have a guy who can backup 1 + 2, now we need a 2 + 3 backup.  Keep up the good work Danny!

Glad to have Nate back.  How many other back-up guards in the league potential to come off the bench and give you 20+ points on any given night?  Being willing to sign a two year deal also says a lot about him caring more about winning than money.

Good to have Nate back. A solid backup point guard.

A reliable alternative to Bradley if the rookie isn't ready to take his minutes.

Well, I think a Celebration is in order. I know I am somewhat showing my age here ;D, but I think this is appropriate:

  • GOT IT!!!
Looks like a two year deal is all you are going to get out of Ainge unless your name is Paul Pierce. Danny is setting the C's up for life after the Big 3 era.  :)

I'm thrilled because we really need his energy.  We now have an incredibly athletic and defensively able backcourt.  I'm loving it.

I love the signing, but don't understand how it worked.

Question: anyone know how the Cs could offer him 2 years at $4M per?  I thought we didn't have his Bird or early Bird rights, the team was over the cap, and we used the MLE on Jermaine O'Neal.  If that's the case...how is this possible?  Obviously it must be, I'm just confused and would appreciate any insight.

We had his non-bird rights or something like that.  It's confusing.

great deal for the celtics. Now all we need is Rudy Fernandez and we're all set.

You can resign your own FAs to a minimum salary increase (I forget how much it is, 20%?) without using any exception money.
